  1.       WRC is available on HULU!!!  Best racing in the world :)
  2.     Here is the problem with this country -- noone wants to to follow the rules..... we think that if we dont like the rule than we dont need to practice it, then we cry foul when someone slaps our hands for breaking the rules.  If they didnt like this rule then they should have went to another school.      There is nothing wrong with his haircut but it is the school rule.... Hell i like the haircut....   The school went too far in my worthless opinion though
  3. Im reading he negotiated these changes to the Manchin Toomey proposal....Is this part of the BILL?.   help me understand.... he does not want us to be able to carry in other states other than our own with a carry permit? 72 hours for background checks for stores and 48 hours from gun shows? 5 guns per year from internet sales?   huh??   taken from politico      Schumer negotiated several changes to the initial Manchin-Toomey proposal, including striking language from the agreement allowing concealed permit holders to carry their weapons in other states, and limiting Internet sales to five guns per year. He also worked to make sure there is a 72-hour window for performing background checks except for gun-show sales, which will be cleared in 48 hours initially. 6. I just wonder what this secret meeting was about http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2013/04/09/exclusive_us_and_north_korea_held_secret_meeting_in_march
  7.     I enjoy all the reality crime shows you can get and the military documentary's ... there is a a@@ ton of kids shows to keep my daughter occupied from time to time. As stated above there are a lot of british shows that are really good and older shows i missed the first time around that we watch occasionaly.  There are a few Netflix originals as well -- House of Cards with Kevin Spacey is a good show...It is the american version of the brit show that holds the same name
  8. " That is why I was giving Krull a hard time earlier, it's hard to be an "exclusive" when friends at work watched it the night before on cable, and those without cable can buy it in iTunes the same day it's available on prime. Don't get me wrong, I like that amazon is making a go at the online content biz, and we have prime anyway and love making use of the free streaming. I'm just not a fan of their marketing team announcing that things are exclusive when they aren't. "   basically i guess they are stating you dont have to pay additional fees for the program such as Justified.... which they are "exclusively" the only provider that you can watch it at no additional charges.  I can wait a day to watch it instead of paying 2 bucks an episode.... I have no friends so i dont have to worry about someone runining it hahahahahah   You all should check out The Killing if youwant a good realistic The Wire type show.... its on netflix.. originally an AMC show i think
  9.             obviously you do not have a 1 year old :)   Each has their pros and cons depending on what you like to watch.  Netflix does not have the newest movies but they have a metric chit ton of movies.  They have all kinds of nat geo specials, kids shows, ID shows, shows like breaking bad, steven segall movies heh -- there is a ton to choose from.  Lots of movies you have heard of and lots of movies you havent heard of.  HULU has a whole bunch of TV shows that you can watch that you have heard of.. hell is saw twin peaks was available last night here is a channel line up of some stuff they offer http://www.hulu.com/plus/content   There are other things on the Roku and others like blockbuster, cinema now, amazon you can rent almost any new movie for a decent price...   We do not watch a whole lot of TV anyway...between these players and HD antennas we never miss anything we had before except the sportsman channel and outdoor channels which i do miss.     You stated that hulu has a bunch of movies and shows you have never heard of??? well that is right on par with cable anymore.... we had the biggest package and never watched anything because there was never anything on....   Another gripe i had about cable was about 20 of my "premium" channels were in spanish for the mexicans and they wouldnt take them off and i was charged for them.... that pissed me off
  10. Keep in mind my bill was 195 a month. You get a couple rokus and a app tv your first year startup is what around 1200 with the services above . Compare to over 2k a year on cable I would say that's a pretty good chunk of savings for us.
  11. 1k worth of gear? Not even close at retail prices. Xbox and play station I had which apple tv or roku will do what either one of these does. A roku player costs 50-80 bucks depending on which one you get. Even if you buy 3 roku players and an apple tv total investment is 250 buck or a little more. Not sure where the thousand comes in. Even with the Ps3 and a Xbox your talking more like 500 which I would save in 5 months by ditching cable.
  12.     You must have just paid your bill recently  --
  13.     Plus i hear there is spy conspiracy with the new xbox heh   Alex Jones never gets things wrong muuhahahahahah http://www.infowars.com/new-xbox-wont-let-you-play-unless-its-spying-on-you/
  14.     I stream on a 55" and im telling you it looks great.... however the PS3 does look better slightly......All and all it depends on what you are looking for in a player -- my suggestion with the money you are going to save by ditching cable....get Roku and ATV..... you can afford them both after one month with what you will save by not paying for cable :)
  15.     not looking to get in whats better than what fight here but there is nothing cheap about the stream on a ROKU -- the HD channels amongst others look great and they do not look "CHEAP".  Bottom line is each to their own -- im not paying for 4 season of digital justified to say I own them.  I will buy the disc set and really own them if that were the case.   The OP stated he wanted a specific feature that the ATV offers -- that feature is exclusive to that player.  He wont go wrong with it.  As for adding a ROKU he wont go wrong with that as well.    I also have a program on my mac i can stream video from my mac to my PS3 and it works very well....It would be easier just to use the ATV for that though.
  16. It is streamed free with Prime or at no additional cost.....And yes that is exclusive... I would say its quite a bit cheaper there because the whole series including all seasons is included with prime and the HD feature at no additional cost.   35x4 = 140 that is two years of prime.... a pretty good deal i would think       http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57571296-93/amazon-nabs-exclusive-rights-to-stream-justified/       And talking about the ROKU of today is the point correct? not based on a few years ago.   Computers arent what they were 20 years ago .... not going to stop me from owning one.
  17.       the streamplay looks awesome -- i have never had an issue with a roku inturrupting or timing out. An occasional reset is required though.  My wife has apple tv at work and she loves it as well.  There are just some awesome free stuff  especially if you like military shows you can get with a Roku you cant get anywhere else.  Well worth the investment.   If you can afford them both then you cant go wrong.   Im going to get a Apple TV now! thanks for costing me money
  18. If you watch Justified for example exclusive to amazon prime -- you can watch it one day after the original air date.  Also i watch revolution and the following on hulu plus -- same thing i cant watch it on monday but i can watch it on tuesday.  If you have a good buddy that gives you his login info for HBO GO you can watch say game of thrones the same night it comes out....
  19. WE have a macbook pro i hook directly to the tv but i forgot my wife told me about apple tv being able to stream from the ipad... im going to have to get one now.....
  20. I would get a Roku player -- if you have PS3 you can get stuff through that as well.  Hulu Plus, Amazon prime etc have current TV shows such as Justified, The Following, Revolution etc but you have to wait a day to watch them.  THe apple TV is nothing special and most of that stuff you can get through ROKU and get two players for theprice of one apple tv....Unless things have changed the only thing apple TV offers you cant get through a Roku is access to ITUNES.   I dont have cable -- i have internet - and roku players and stream through the xbox, my mac connected to my tv's and ps3.  A lot of shows you can watch on the the website of NBC ABC etc.  If you know someone in your family that has comcast you can piggy off their Xfinity under a different user name and password and watch espn espn 2 espn 3 espn u CNN etc live.  Several options there.  I pay a total of 65 bucks a month + the yearly fee of 70 bucks for Amazon prime and have a HD antenna for local channels and i do not miss cable one bit.  My bill was 195 bucks a month before i swapped.   Check ROKU and compare channel lineups before   you drop a bill on apple TV   There are several free channels on the Roku that has classic military and regular movies for free like Crackle which is a good one.    There are many thousands of movies you can get when a member of Amazon Prime as well as hulu...   My pricing Amazon Prime yearly fee of 70 bucks Hulu Plus 8 bucks a month Netflix 9 bucks a month Fastest cable internet offered 50 bucks a month. I have 3 Roku players -- a PS3 and Xbox streaming to various TV's   I can run 4 tv's at once streaming with my setup and no hiccups.   PM me if you need some advice
  21. What is going to happen if the over a billion dollars in gold that belongs to Texas stored in NY isnt there along with other states Gold that is "safely" stored away by the US Gov? A recent audit of the NY Bank says its there but most of belongs to foreign govts. what about the gold at fort knox? Why cant anyone see it -- and why has it not been audited in over 60 years? -- This is a manufactured economy i think we are in and hopefully we still have the gold to back a little of the buck.  IF the gold is ever found to be gone thats going to be a problem noone will be able to solve.  Cyprus wont hold a candle to what will happen.    http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/03/21/4721036/tarrant-lawmaker-seeks-to-create.html#storylink=cpy
