  1. Welcome to the forum.
  2. Welcome to TGO. Music City Tactical Shooters is having an intro to competitive shooting match this Saturday. You and your wife should come out and shoot with us if you can.
  3. You are welcome to shoot your duty rig Edenlights. By IDPA rule you have to use full retention but sounds like that is something you would like to practice anyway.
  4. I was working SO when it happened and it wasn't anything he was doing. A couple of times it happened the spent brass never left the chamber. The brass wasn't really stuck because he could quickly clear it. First time I've seen an M&P act quite like that.
  5. This will be a great time for new people to get a taste of competition shooting. I look forward to seeing everyone there. Well done with the ammo Michael.
  6. Welcome to TGO.
  7. Great. Look forward to seeing you on the range.
  8. Hate to hear about the ticket. Glad the encounter went well though. Hope you enjoy your Pro as much as I do mine.
  9. A steel match is actually great for first timers. Very little movement and very few rules to worry about. All you have to do is be safe and have fun.
  10. Welcome to TGO. Good luck with the ammo search.
  11. Welcome to TN and TGO. I moved here from Arlington too. Went to school at UTA.
  12. I prefer the CompTac stuff. I compete (IDPA) with their belt holster. I carry with either their paddle holster or MTAC. They make good equipment at a reasonable price.
  13. Fun day at the range today. It was great to meet all the new people. Hope to see y'all on the range again.
  14. I prefer Comp-Tac for competition and EDC.
  15. Welcome to TGO.
  16. Welcome to TN and TGO.
  17. Would love to see y'all at the range. Next match is Jan 19th.
  18. I'm a fan of the M&P line. They feel good, shoot great and are very reliable. It's an easy tradition between the 9mm, 45 and compact carry gun.
  19. Welcome to TGO.
  20. Did you check the videos that Apex provides?
  21. Welcome to TGO. Come out and shoot with us sometime, we love to talk guns.
  22. It was great to see everyone and meet all the new shooters. David had good stages that were fun to shoot. He worked hard and put a lot of planning into making it run smoothly. It looked like everyone had fun. Hope to see some of you at MCTS sometime.

    Noob question

I've dry fired my M&Ps thousands of times without a single problem. Some people still don't like to dry fire but it won't hurt a thing on your M&P. Even if you aren't comfortable doing it a lot there should be no concern doing it to de-cock.
  24. You can still come and shoot with us you just wont have a classification.

    Noob question

It won't hurt to dry fire it and it won't hurt to leave it cocked.
