+1 for the P.E.P.R. It will handle anything you put on the rifle.

I haven't seen any nazi behavior there in a long time. I don't normally go there when it's crowded, but I usually see a red card or two. They generally nip any unsafe behavior in the bud before it gets dangerous. My dealings with those RSO's has been nothing but postive. I spend most of my time on the rifle side, and always have a green card. My only intraction with the RSO's is when I'm picking my lane, or we're chewing the fat about guns.

I know several people that hang out in bars, and never touch a drop. This discussion could go on forever. I don't think anybody has suggested going into a bar armed and knocking out a 12 pack. The law is what it is... gray.

So, you're worried about losing all your adult judgement when you have a couple of beers? I'll agree that drinking and shooting is a bad idea, especially in a hunting situation. But, I can drink a case of beer without having the urge to shoot my guns.

I haven't seen many prescriptions that would get you intoxicated if they're followed. With that said, I've seen folks face down in the dinner plate when they went too deep into their bottle of Xanax.

Nothing against the law about transporting a firearm when you're drinking AFIK. If you're carrying it as if you don't have a permit, then you're not armed, you're transporting.
