  1. We had a similar discussion in a thread sometime back. My biggest concern with an AR is the effective range if a couple of those rounds make it out of the house. No doubt it would be effective on a thug.
  2. The last thing that ever came close to censorship from the FCC was when Michael Powell was chairman, and they put the zero tolerance, g rated BS hex on broadcasting. It was the FIRST thing the repubs did to get me pissed off.
  3. It's a southern thing. My granny taught me
  4. If it's a high quality deuce, nobody's gonna come in anyway. Your tactical advantage... boiled turnips.
  5. I'm almost afraid to look .
  6. Here are the perps. FCC Commissioners: Additional Information Note that they can't have more than 3 commisioners from any one party. I'm going to wait and see what comes from them. They don't have the power to just write a bunch of rules without checks and balances. In most cases (maybe all), that involves opening any rulemaking process for public comment. I'm not hearing ANY hysteria about this in the industry... only from your typical "news" douchebags.
  7. Yep. If you fight it, you wind up looking like this...
  8. I've found that it's just better to wrap the word news in quotes these days.
  9. But, you have to maintain a tactical position at all times. Start with some pants-on-the-ground drills. I think there's a video
  10. So... if you accidentally drop a Jennings .380 in the toilet after the deuce falls, do you go in after it, or just flush it?
  11. Honestly, I can't put up with the news babble long enough to find out if the REAL analysts have said anything about this stuff creating real threats. Can you point me to a link that makes all this stuff more than juicy gossip? Of course sombody is gonna scream national security. That's their favorite tool. Doesn't count when you hear it from some corrupt diplomat.
  12. Nice gun! I'm an Auto 5 fan anyway, but yours is sweet
  13. No biggie. Lots of crap went on that gun all at once. Not the first time a trigger on a semi-auto barfed on the range. I'm probably gonna toss the stock trigger back in there for now if I don't see something obvious with the adjustments. It's a Jard single stage trigger. Supposed to be OK. I still have the Double Star group that came out of it, and I know it works. Could be something funky with the BCG or upper receiver.
  14. I did, with the monopod installed. Trigger group problems, so I didn't even get the scope dialed all the way in. Disconnector wasn't grabbing the hammer. Haven't dug into it yet
  15. I guess we're always gonna disagree on this one. Sarah's qualifications: She was governor of a state that has a little more population than Davidson county, but with enough natural resources to pay virtually all the bills. Stiil, she quit her gig because of all the drama, and the fact that people were picking on her. Adorable: Absolututely, and the less she says. the more adorable she is. Pros (as I see it): She's a true conservative, and not a nutless weasel like McCain. Cons: Sarah is all about Sarah, which is THE biggest problem we have with politicians. She is constantly chasing some petty issue, and is always a victim, even if somebody just asks her hard questions. She ain't real bright. Could she be effective as a president? Maybe, depending on who picks the folks around her. That's a big scary if. There are better candidates in the party.
  16. But was there dangerous stuff in there? I haven't read it. If it was just a bunch of gotchas for politicians and diplomats, then it doesn't bother me a bit. If it was useful intelligence, that's a different story. Too bad we can't get a viable assesment for anything these days without reading the source material ourselves.
  17. i haven't been shooting much .22 recently, but my 10/22 and P22 love minimags.
  18. We can't differ a lot there, because I don't believe either one does. We have some serious problems, and the choice is either overkill or ignore.
  19. You have the sickness . I have an Accu-Shot monopod showing up today for my PRS stock. Do I wait for the mail, or go shoot the rifle as is? Decisions.
  20. Here's what I did with my spare lower...
  21. I was just razzin' him a little
  22. That was on purpose. Got it for Tea Party rallies
  23. Well, Forgot to post my Spike's upgrade...
  24. That one made my head hurt, and not because of what you said
  25. It's a really steep hill to climb.
