Oh yea. Haven't heard of any broken stocks, but watch your lower sling swivel. If it is against the metal part of the sled, it could shear it off. I haven't had a problem with my rifles, but it's something to watch

The rest by itself will eat some recoil, especially my DFT.

I have regretted it every time I got rid of a handgun except one. New and shiny doesn't mean much to me. They figured the gun thing out a long time ago.

You may have to take your own shot bags. i bought mine at bass pro

Can't beat caldwell's products. I have a Lead Sled DFT. I use mine for sighting in just about any rifle that has recoil. Never had to use more than two bags of shot. Haven't tried the solo. You can't rent a standard lead sled at Stones river if you don't have any experience with them
