Here's my Brits. The .38 was an armory import about 20 years ago thus the stupid looking safety:rolleyes:. Joe W.

Keep another thing mind the Wobblely Webleys shoot hollow base bullets. The .455 and the .38/200 will shoot .45 and .38 flat base bullets but you can throw rocks better. I have one of each and with the right bullet they are quite accurate. HTH Joe W.

According to your post no HCP holder has made any threats, why would you want this to be add leverage to take his permit? Joe W.

Glen if you see this, google the Elementary school and go to the fire hall. It's all in the Square. Police Department is on the left side of the building. Got my pass today and went to the range about 8:30 this morning, had it all to myself till about 10:00. HTH> Joe W.

First let me thank bart_p, his thoughts on Raven Concealment helped greatly. I chose Kydex mainly because I sweat like I sprung a leak and figured leather would stay wet all the time. I chose the Raven Phantom because I could see the versatility in their design. I find the holster very comfortable even for extended wear both IWB and OWB. I wear this holster OWB most of the time and conceal very well at 3:30 under an untucked tee shirt. Unfortunately my favorite attachment is not on their menu. It started as their version of the paddle attachment and looked like this borrowed photo. I got them for fast on and off but they made the gun ride high and lean out. So after fiddling with them for a while I flattened them and made them look like this. This just slips over my belt (a Uncle Mikes reinforced Instructors belt) as easy as putting something in your pocket. Another look at the remade attachments. They pull pull the XDsc in very well and I can go very well covered in a lite tee with no problems. When I want to go IWB to eliminate the possibility of showing the bottom of the holster I switch to the over hooks. These pull in a little tighter and lets the XD disappear. All in all this is a very comfortable easy holster to wear and use. I know most like leather but if it is that much more comfortable it must be like going naked:tough:. Some may even worry about breaking but I have even been wearing this OWB while crawling around under a car to see how the OWB hooks hold up. This stuff will not snap like your plastic fork, think more like a strip of sheet metal (back and forth, back and forth). Found it well worth the money and the wait just my . Thank you. Joe W.

Probably won't vote in general election, since Haslam won't need my vote to win, and won't have to hold my nose to vote for him. - OS Ramsey here to. OhShoot I vote party line if I don't like any of them. If you don't vote for your right to bitch you got no voice at all. Joe W. -

I've been playing with plastic

I appreciate the complements but I'm not planning on any kind of business venture at this time. Way to many others out there doing it. I may do a holster for a couple of guys I work with to save them a bit of money and pick up a couple of boxes of practice ammo. If I lean that way I'll let you guys know. Thanks. Joe W. -

Working the Kydex is very easy, there is a ton of info on the web. This is some of the best ones I have used for info. Forming belt loops with plywood Forming Kydex Belt Loops - Articles Para Cord Secrets - Shaping your world - Para Cord Secrets Be sure to account for the thickness of belt and waistband. Here is a thread from right here among us. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/firearm-accessories/19506-kydex-holster-ideas.html This is his blog, he make some nice stuff. I really like the Bikini. H & K Holsters: January 2009 There are guys using vacuum molding Thermoforming Kydex for that perfect holster For adding something like the body shield on the Charter this works well. Amazon.com: Henkel 1151984 Loctite 0.85-Ounce Plastix Bonder… but it seems to weaken the edges of the joint so I would not use it on something that holds weight. Edges are held with post screws or eyelets, rivets. Belt lops and atachments are held in the same manor. Knifekits .com is a good source they are a little higher on Kydex but cheaper on shipping, but I got my first Kydex from Home - Springfield Leather Co. Inc. . My press is just two 12" squares of 1" plywood and four clamps IRWIN QUICK-GRIP 12" Bar Clamps. I use a heatgun and gloves. On the revolver I wraped the cylinder with blue painters tape so the Kydex would not go down in the flutes and used a pencil to form a sight channel. On the XD I filled the ejection port with folded tape add tape and pieces of craft sticks at the take down and slide lock lever so the Kydex would not form deep. Also cut pieces to fit in the trigger guard to control the depth. Try it it's fun. HTH Joe -
I wanted to make an IWB holster for my Wife's older Charter arms Undercover so I bought some Kydex and foam from knife kits.com. the first thing I made was a horizontal mag holder for my XD9SC. Then I made a holster for the Charter. I add the body shield after trying it for a couple of hours. I have a Raven Phantom coming but liked the little revolver holster so well I did one for my XD. Even have a couple of guys I work with want some custom work

Code on vents is fixtures need to be within 10' of a vent and the main sewer vent should be the same size as the main sewer, other vents can be smaller. No vents visible through the roof is a big no no. Been a long time since I read specs but grade is generaly 1/4" per foot unless it puts you below the house drain tie in outside. You can get away with less with PVC but not a lot without trouble down the road. The 1/4" gives the system a natural scouring action to slow buildup. If the shower is in the garage clean out the drain good and rinse it with a hose to get all the hair and hair products out of it. Then shine a light down the drain and see if it has water standing in it. If the LL did the work himself he may have left the trap off, this would make it an open sewer. Got to have a trap. Another thing that could happen if the system is not vented is flushing the toilet can jerk the water out of a trap then it is an open sewer till you add more water. If it looks like it has a trap under the floor flush the toilet a couple of times to see if it pulls the water out of the shower trap. It can be trapped father down the line but that is a bad way to do it. Also stress not to ever flush anything but toilet paper and anything she Previously had to eat or drink. Take it from some that gets to pull toilets and clean that junk out it don't always flush. Anything caught in the trap will cause a bad flush and if it can't be gotten out the toilet is trash. HTH. I'm waiting on a Raven Concealment Phantom for my XD9sc, should be another three weeks:(. bart_p on this forum gave me this review on his "I will answer what I think you are asking by saying that the Raven that I have is absolutely fantastic. I've done some dynamic training with it and it has taken some pretty serious abuse. It has also had all of my weight on it down a nasty spill down a flight of stairs. I have used it exclusively every day for almost a year now and recommend it to everyone who carries. The guys that make them also back their product with a great warranty. I actually have another one on order for my carry gun that will allow me to carry a Surefire X300 attached for those nights I am out on the town. They also work very well for me IWB. I literally carry a full size HK45 under a polo or t-shirt and it just disappears. I also use one of their double mags carriers IWB at about 7:30." Also these reviews with photos helped me toward ordering one. Raven Concealment Systems Phantom Holster for XD9SC (review with intensive pics) - XDTalk Forums - Your XD/XD(m) Information Source! http://www.mdtstraining.com/RCSReview.pdf Watch these vids about Magpul you can see glimpses of their prouducts in action Everyone I've read about says they are solid behind their product. Worth a check out, but they have a 60 day wait right now. hthJoe W. p.s. I reread your post, look at the info on their paddle attachments in the XD Talk forum review. I have a set of these coming with my order.

In an apartment I would go with a 12 or 20 gauge, #6 or #7 shot. If you can't hear your neighbors very well through the wall sound deading material should stop the small shot. A couple of charges of that to the upper body and face will ruin anybodies evening. Joe W.

I think it is a bit to early to ask such a question. You don't even know what this bill is going to do for you yet. To me that is the kick in the head is, if this bill is so good why all the backroom dealing, all the exempting. If it is so good should not our Representatives be getting in line to set an example. I'm sorry but the example set is it's good enough for the masses but I your elected official want something better, and you get to pay for it. I hope the question in the future is not "What has this bill done to me?" Joe

Gang Need some thoughts on Accessories, I just got an XD9sc. It’s going to be my EDC/Bedside. First I know everyone has their favorite holster but I looking more at material. I want to start with something more along the line of sticking it down in my waistband on a store run then all day carry. Which is easier on the finish Leather or Kydex? Which is easier to just deal with? For bedside(not for carry) I’m think about a small rail mount tac light like this http://www.laserlyte.com/FlashLytes/WL_1.html will 25 lumens be bright enough for across the living room, or would something hand held and brighter be better? I’m also considering a Crimson Trace since without bifocals I can barely make out the front sight in good light. How much do they change the grip on the XDsc (really like it now)? Anyone have one in the Knoxville area I could get a feel for or does anyone carry the LG-446 I could go look at? Thanks. Joe W.

I'm trying to pick as well while I wait for my permit. Of the four you have up there the G26 is going to be the most bang for your buck and Glock is not even my first pick. If you haven't already handle and shoot each of your finalists before you buy. The one at the to of my list is the XD9sc. HTH. Joe W.
