  2. For TDR, the best I've got.. Got to figure out how to color a billet lower. Crayola wasn't the best option.
  3.   Gimme a second!!
  4.   It's a 7.5" barrel
  5. Thanks Rickey, I've been to one match there and had a great time with some great folks. I wanted to go again but couldn't remember which Sunday of the month it was on.
  6. Anyone know when the Volunteer Pistol Club is holding their next IDPA match in Brush Creek?  Contact info? thanks
  7. Thanks for the info.  It's a kit so I should be good to go.
  8. Does anyone in the Mt.Juliet/Hermitage/Lebanon area have gauges and would be willing to help me check my new AR15 build? Thanks
  9. gimme a second
  10. Here's what i got so far with my Pistol kit from Alpha Shooting Sports. Everything is going together good. Next is to see how it shoots.
  11. Received my Alpha pistol kit today.  Looks good finish-wise.  I'll report later as to fit.  So far I'm happy, happy.
  12. I think I'm going to try it out.  This will be a learning project for me and i figure the pistol will mostly be for farting around with.  I can use this build to find out what i like and what I don't.  I have 2 TGO lowers and one upper, I'll save one of each for a quality rifle build after I learn a bit.
  13.   Thanks, hadn't noticed that although I was leaning towards a 7.5" barrel anyway.  So, do you you thing one would be disappointed with the quality of parts in this kit?
  14. I'm looking at this for my first build.  It seems less daunting than searching everywhere for the misc. parts.  Price seems good, maybe too good?  I don't want to end up with a crappy gun for the sake of convenience.  Any opinions?   http://www.shop.ar15hardware.com/Kits_c33.htm
  15. I never would have expected the majority to carry 124 gr.  Good to know it doesn't seem to matter as long as they function reliably in the gun being carried. Thanks for the input.
  16. What is your preference for bullet weight in 9mm hollow point for carry? 115, 124, or147 grain? I've always used 147 gr but found a good deal at SGAmmo for Speer gold dot in 115gr I couldn't resist. Thanks for any info
  17. I'm in for a lower and a upper please
  18. Evidently, it's less expensive than Midway sells it for when in stock.   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/240834/cci-short-range-green-ammunition-22-long-rifle-21-grain-truncated-cone-hollow-point-lead-free-box-of-500-10-boxes-of-50   David at Lebanon Gun Shop is a stand up guy.  Didn't think he would take advantage of the gun community.   But still not interested in buying any
  19. Thanks for the info Garufa
  20. Is it reloadable? It may be brass but it looks different, nickel colored. thanks,

    New 686

I've been dreaming of one of these for a long time and now thanks to my buddy Durow, I have one. Hope to have it to the range Saturday to try out the very sweet trigger on it. This is the first pistol I've felt the need to show off.

  25. S&W 642.  Sold it and not sorry.  .38 special and an lite-weight revolver is not fun to shoot.
