  1. Well, I got good experiences with LEOs, Just look at TN Robocop - Shawn, met thru another site and did a ride along one night, and we've been friends ever since and yes, there's a few share of bad cops, but for every bad cop there's a lot more good ones.. Mad props to the LEOs and definitely the Firefighters and EMS, they get to deal with stuff that I would probably not to deal with.. Hey Todd, when's the next AR class?
  2. I can't wait till someone decides to start using MultiCam when hunting.. Because you know that makes you invisible to everything..
  3. Out of sight, out of mind. I know it's not a concealed carry permit, but there's time when it's best that the sheeple or wolf know who the sheepdog until it's time to bite.
  4. Pat Rogers has an article a few months that discussed Zeroing at 50 yrds or meters..
  5. Basically any targets that have a human feature are banned, even if you get a playing card from one of their own cadre.. That happened to me, the cadre was fine with me shooting it until some prick, I mean other RO came buy complaining about it, then they went and got the TWRO Officer on me.. Freaking ghei..
  6. Big boy rules? i.e. I need to make sure some of my gear or kit, works, primary goes down, I switch to secondary type drills or it this more of shooting behind a bench?
  7. I no longer active and not retarded, I mean retired, got a medical thanks to my knees and ankle (who would have thought that jumping out of planes would do that).. But I'll look into anyways.. Thanks..
  8. Hmm, but what if he's not a member of any of the Organizations that are required to be able to purchase said rifle? BTW, I fall under this as well and yes I would be also interested in going that route.. BTW, if I have 1000, I would purchase SBR'ed AK (Krinkov) from either HDI or another dependable builder.. Hey Ammo is cheap, as well from these..
  9. Steve, I'm sorry you live in Lavergne, I just moved out of that AO and moved to the Boro. Welcome...

    Trigger Lock?

Fellas, go ahead and start laughing now.. I've moved and misplaced the key for my trigger lock on my 1911. Is there any way to get the stupid trigger lock off, without getting looked at like I stole it.. yes, I'm pissed because I decided to place it where my HH6 keeps her ****, err stuff and my business cards, I saw it once since we've moved in, but haven't seen it since.. :D:D

  16. Bro, I put my worn in your drink you aren't going to be drinking Tequila, it would more like Pee and some think creme..
  17. Rumors has it that S&W is making a 5.45 Upper, Midway has an Olympic Arms 5.45 upper but it's been pushed back a few times.. I have an Wasr-2, fun to shoot and yes ammo is cheap right now..
  18. Sure, we can provide child care, hmm, what's the dosage for kids? Up that and there's your child care.. Just kidding.. Fellas, If you can find some where we can camp in east TN where there's no chance of a bear harassing us, I'm in.
  19. Okay, I've only attended on Mid TN GTG either this year or last (sorry been busy with work and other stuff), but here's a some advice, start small and it will take off.. I attend a yearly paratrooper gathering and we have seen a yearly increase once the word gets out after each year.. Really we don't rent halls or anything like that, we ask members to hosts the events and they usually spend some coin doing it (food, drinks, ****ters, etc). Some do provide towards that as well so not to burden the person hosting the event. What it comes down to is logistics, who can provide the most room for it, while having lodging nearby for those that can't sleep on the floor anymore or for those that actually want to try to get some sleep or freak on in private.. But once you get that sorted out and get it going it it will become an annual event and grow by itself. I will give you a word of advice, since everyone here is grown adults, if there's going to be drinking involved, everyone locks up their weapons before the first beer is every opened, no one leaves if their stumbling, and no one gets hurt. Any bickering or fighting wants a swift kick to the ass and exit of the GTG with no ability to ever come back..
  20. Okay, I'll have to catch you guys next time. I'm closing on my house next week and now I got to drop a bunch of money on getting curtains and moving expenses.. Great!!!
  21. When I got to campbell, they still had m60s in 95-97, and Division (82nd) still had the M60s in 93-95.. The m240s were mostly used on tanks and bradley back then with a longer barrel.. either way, i was happy to give up my m249, for a m16a2 as a team leader in Division.. I'm trying to think if the rangers had them when I went in 93, I know the had a mix of car-15s and m16 back in 91... I think in 93 they were thinking about the Para Minimi (current airborne issued SAW).. Oh the good old days.. Tell you what wish we had M4s when I was in Panama or on Bragg..
  22. Wow, 7yrs and you have yet to touch a M60? Okay, i know it was replaced with the m240. I had the wonderful pleasure to hump a M249 for 2 years and a few times i have to dab with an m60.. BTW, which model m60, the Echo model (Marine/Navy version) or the plain jane m60?
  23. If you went today, so it was you making all that damn racket.. Nice 1911. hmm, looks tempting, now to find how I can move my SA Ultra Compact..

    First AR-15 M4

Shoot at least 500+ rounds using irons till you are comfortable with them, then look at getting optics, unless of course, you can hit a side of a barn, then I would invest in optics.. And don't get caught up in the BRD, well not right away, at least.
  25. I second that as well. I've pretty bought everything I own off him, 2- ARs, 1 AK, (2)1911, Glock 17..
