Exactly, I knew a guy that had to get his leg amputateted because of a bit from a non venomous snake.

Here is one for you, if/when Zimmerman gets his gun back, how much could he sell it for?

I was trying to be funny, I couldn't careless if they are referred to as poisonous vs venomous.

I just realized it is August and I have seen more sankes during August than any other month. My family used to have a farm in North Georgia right on Chickamauga Creek Adjacent to TN. I can only recall seeing about two snakes during months other than August but come August they would come out. When I was 16 I killed 6 copperheads in one day, your typical 2 footers, they were laying out of a watering hole that was built to swim in years ago. Almost exactly 1 year later I killed two more in the exact same spot. I remember both days well, each year it was the day before going back to school. Managed to kill a few with the bush hog during August as well. I never saw a rattler though, only a few black snakes, several copper heads, and a couple of pretty colored up king snakes on the old farm.

We do not have any poisonous snakes in Tennessee. You can eat all of them. We do have a few species of venemous snakes however.

Another thing, a .32 Long is not an affordable range cartridge.

A VG or mint conditioned S&W model 30 is worth more than a new LCP. A rode hard model 30 is worth a lot less though. That model 30 is a somewhat large gun in a fairly weak caliber for a carry gun. Three years ago there was a model 30 3" in rough condition for sale at GT's for $225. They had it for a long time, I came real close to buying it.

Other than a little thick, they are great. Expensive magazines may be one of the only drawbacks.

Even the Taurus 9mm is not too common. I had a S&W 940, I traded a mint OD Glock for it when OD's were bringing big bucks. The 940 was a little stout. I sold it for 650 after having it only a couple of months. I really don't care anything about owning another one unless it is a collectors piece like a S&W 547(k frame 9mm. Here is the reason I feel this way. A 357 mag is so much more versatile. Even a 327mag which can effectively shoot 5 different calibers is much more versatile. One thing to note is that loading and unloading a moon clipped revolver is faster until one of the clips get bent or broke. Most of these 9mm revolvers can shoot without the moon clips but unloading them takes a lot of time. Most 9mm revolvers can also shoot 9mm Federal (rimmed 9mm) rounds but it is practical to do so unless you reload.

I have probably fired 20k rounds through Beretta 92's without a single malfunction I could blame on the gun. Truthfully even the magazine and ammo failures they only add up to 50 or so failures. Berettas are what the are, 50 year old technology that wasn even high tec at that time. There are a few weak spots in the Beretta design, barrel locking blocks failing and barrels rusting to name a few. They are still fairly uncommon. Magazines and holsters are fairly common on the used market for Berettas but so are they for Glocks.

I have said for years that if someone wanted to kill a lot of people they could do it a lot more effectively with a car than a firearm.

About ten years ago I was on a flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles and the flight attendant got a soldier going home on R&R to stand up at the front of the plane and give the whole spill. He did it perfectly, the two finger pointing at the exit doors, the blowing up of the life preservers, the upside down seatbelt flop and all that. Everyone applauded and laughed. I though it was strange until the flight attendant announced he was a coworker who had been away serving as a reservist.

I have been asked frequently if I have been charged with a felony while applying for jobs. Most of these were law enforcement oriented jobs though. As far as medical, sales, or normal civilian jobs I don't know if it ever gets asked.

I have bought and sold a lot of J frames over the last few years. Thy can be slow, very slow, to move. You just have to be patient and the right person comes along, it's not like trying to sell a Glock.

Exactly, exigent circumstances carries a lot of weight while you are on public streets and in this situation these officers can testify to their firearm expertise.

Weird, -2 is supposed to be IL. If it is a no-IL, NIB, I would say no more than $500. $400-425 is more likely.

I haven't shopped for bikes in several years, they used to be my life though. Back pains keep me from riding now. 1st I am a huge Trek fan, but components not the name on the bike make the bike. If your looking for cheap and value Raleigh and Monobecane normally appeal but they will still be at the top of your budget, these two normally come with bettered components. I can't even recommend the best shop around Chattanooga or Cleveland. East Ridge Bicycles (closed Saturdays)for a long time has been top notch and great to deal with. I have had mediocre experiences at Scott's Bike shop. I haven't been in River City or Suck Creek Cycles since I was a kid.

Maybe someone should tell them without stand your ground Martin, not Zimmerman, would have been commiting a crime by confronting the person following him. However, I am not saying Zimmerman was committing a crime.
