  1. +1...Fat Boy I'm surprised I haven't met you yet. I think I've met just about all the other K-town regulars. At the last show we had about 10-15 TGOers
  2. It's only september, shouldn't we wait till the end of the year
  3. Spuds is who stole Mike.357 screen name and sent out nasty messages.
  4. I just really like my Glock 19. When loaded with 15+1 rounds 124gr +p I feel I can get the job done. Other than that I have really enjoyed shooting Desert Rat's Kimbers!!! My XD .40 is dedicated to nightstand duty.
  5. my current set of tires have 47,000 miles on them and I'm hoping to get another 15,000. That's what you get when you buy $700 Michelins I guess
  6. I think people are saying don't unholster in a defensive situation unless you plan to use the weapon. I don't necessarily agree. There have been many examples where simply presenting a gun has ended the threat. It depends on the circumstances. What u are describing is different

  11. start with this thread if you haven't already read it. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handgun-carry-self-defense/45016-concealed-carry-big-guys.html Hmmmm, side safety and American made. First gun that comes to mind is the Ruger SR9C Ruger SR9c 9mm Compact Black $399.00 SHIPS FREE That's the only American made one that comes to mind although I'm sure there are others. If you like Beretta the PX4 storm subcompact are supposed to be nice guns, they look funny but that doesn't matter. Beretta PX4 STORM 9mm 13RD CMPCT SHIPS FREE Or maybe some form of 1911

    TV Tonight

forget TV, I'm in the garage with the door open enjoying the nice cool air. Listening to country, open carrying my Glock, redneck style tonight. Just cleaned my 10/22 and my Mossberg. Today has been a good day.
  13. I switched to Gunzilla. very little smell, non toxic, and I think it works better. Hoppe's is strong!
  14. I love the smell of Hoppe's in the morning.......

    Mp 9MM FS vs G19..

BubbaTN let me shoot his M&P 9c and I really liked it. It felt like a Glock with better ergo's. I still prefer my Glock19 but it the M&P is one I wouldn't mind having someday
  16. the Judge is interesting. I've shot Desert Rat's before, it's not a range gun by any means but it serves a purpose. What are you considering for EDC? If you gave us some preferences we could probably narrow it down. for instance do you want a thumb safety? do you have a caliber in mind? do you want a SA or DA? any brands you DON'T want?
  17. more like the bionic man. He's so lucky. It's almost surreal when I see him walking around and talking. I was expecting much worse outcome that day. Never seen anyone hurt that bad before and hope I never do again.
  18. 9 It's not Rusky is it? (might not be correct spelling)
  19. Many of you remember me posting on the 4th of July about the jet ski accident my friend had http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/42601-horrible-accident-today.html so I just wanted to give you an update on his progress. He was in the hospital for over a month before he was discharged. He's been at home for a few weeks now and he is doing great. I went to see him today for his birthday party and he was the same exact guy as before. His only permanent injuries is the loss of vision in his right eye and all the titanium plates in his head. He doesn't have any brain damage and for the most part seems perfectly normal. He is so fortunate that his injuries were not worse. Losing an eye is horrible but considering he is lucky to be alive I think he's doing just fine. If my cousin had not pulled him from the lake he wouldn't even be here with us today. He has already been discharged from physical therapy and finally after TWO MONTHS got his neck brace taken off. The docs even told him he could go back to work whenever he wants. His last step is some rehab to make sure he can drive a car safely. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and encouraging words. And also thanks to all the PM's I received.
  20. It feels so good to teach a new person how to shoot. I've only been shooting for about a year and since then all of my friends both guys and girls have wanted to go shooting. It's been a really nice experience.
