  1. Because a firearm was used the penalty becomes a mandatory 5 years in prison under NM law. I have a hard time believing he'll be convicted though.
  2. Baldwin was also one of the producers for this show. There is a process they are supposed to follow where the actor confirms the gun is cold. That process was not followed. I agree with you that it does seem odd no one else is being charged.
  3. He won't even admit to pulling the trigger which we all know is BS.
  4. Knox News published a very detailed article today explaining what went wrong with TVA during the cold snap. The article is for members only but I'll include the link anyways. It was a combination of problems that caused this but here is what stands out. -Beginning on the 23rd, TVA underestimated the amount of electricity it needed to generate by 655 megawatt hours. This mistake continued the next few days. -One of the two units at the Cumberland Fossil Plant goes offline at 0300. "Critical instrumentation" at the top of the boiler froze over. -By 0455, the 2nd unit goes down, essentially shutting that plant down. -While this is happening, the Bull Run Fossil Plant is unable to come online. It's old and often unreliable according to TVA. Scheduled to retire December of this year. -By 0600 TVA is struggling to get the John Sevier Gas Plant to run properly. This is one of their bigger plants. -By 0900 the sun is up and TVA's solar plants come online but they aren't able to generate a lot of electricity. -By 1030 TVA requests rolling blackouts for the first time ever. Throughout the course of this, the coal and gas plants struggled while the nuclear plants never had any hiccups. TLDR- we need more nuclear plants! https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/local/tennessee/2023/01/19/tva-blackouts-winter-storm-cold-aging-power-plants/69777671007/
  5. Complete waste of time by Gaetz. Not surprised either. I wish the GOP would work on a practical solution for this issue.
  6. No they had the HVAC trunk running the length of the house resting on the joists. Below is a view the opposite direction. I could strap it at the place where I cut the hole but I can't strap it where the 2x4's are unless I cut more ceiling out. I'm probably worrying about it more than necessary. It sounds like most of you don't think it's a major issue having it rest on those 2x4's.
  7. Something like this would look a lot better than the HVAC grill. A friend suggested this company. https://linhdor.com/product/linhdor-elite-1000-interior/
  8. I replaced the two bricks with two pieces of 2x4. Do you think that will suffice? My concern with the HVAC duct is that that its weight was previously distributed along the entire length of the ceiling and now it's resting on this one place. I need 4" of clearing for my dryer duct so I'm really not sure what else I could do.
  9. West Knoxville HF didn't have this one in stock so I had to pay a little more for one. I know people like to pick on Harbor Freight but for certain parts they do just fine. I got the hole opened up a hair and got the flex tube fed through. I'm leaning towards installing an access door here similar to Farman instead of replacing with finished sheetrock.
  10. Purple or not, that knife is sexy.
  11. I just need to shave off a little more so I can feed the flex duct up without tearing it. It's pretty close already.
  12. My dad came over today and we made a lot of progress but I have questions. The path for the hard pipe was blocked by my HVAC trunk. The only option was to lift it up and run my dryer vent under it. The problem is that when letting it back down it was too heavy and wanted to crush my new duct. Our solution was to rest the weight of the HVAC trunk on a few bricks. You can see my new duct on the left of the first picture. Does anyone think this will be an issue for the HVAC trunk? From there I have an 8' piece of semi rigid flex tube I'm going to run through the hole in the floor directly to my dryer. I need to make the floor hole bigger. Should I rent a jig saw?
  13. I never considered the magnetized issue. Interesting point. I wonder what the likelihood of that being a problem is.
  14. Yep. In the salty states at least. Toyota is STILL replacing frames. My friend bought a 00 Tundra last year and it qualified for full frame replacement under the recall.
  15. That's terrible. Way too young.
  16. Why? Don't you think they could get in and out of their network without even being noticed? I seriously doubt a small company like SB had the most robust IT security.
  17. I had a 2nd company out this morning. He actually encouraged me to tackle this myself but he's still going to provide a quote. I think I'm going to open up the ceiling that way I can try to clean out years worth of flammable lint. I can hang new sheetrock but I'm not going to attempt to mud it myself. I know it won't turn out right. The 2nd guy agreed running flex tube(the cheap kind) the whole run is a bad idea. He's going to price it as rigid pipe most of the way.
  18. I haven't tried but if the nerds couldn't get it I'm assuming it's an odd design. I'll check it out though.
  19. I have a watch I never wear. The battery died within 2 years of purchase and the boys at Batteries Plus couldn't figure out how to replace it. I thought watch batteries were known to last many years?
  20. It wasn't just turnovers though. Georgia dominated both offensively and defensively. I hate it for TCU. I was pulling for the underdog.
  21. TCU is playing like the Vols played against South Carolina. Completely fell apart.
  22. If rigid aluminum will be too difficult I wonder if semi-rigid flex would be a decent compromise.
  23. I had already been told to avoid PVC because it's not rated for the heat.
