I've always wondered what a 357sig would look like if it was popped in a .40 chamber. I have both barrels for my gun and thought about the off chance that getting mixed up could happen. 40 fails to lock the slide in the 357 sig, so i'm not too worried about it going that way. but the other way is gonna push a 9mm bullet out a 40 barrel. I have been shooting .40 exclusively for now so it's not really an issue and I always check, but i'm just curious. I have shot 22lr in a 22 mag chamber. The cases swell and about half of them cracked (Ruger single six). Daniel

I'm wanting to get a new 22 pistol to play with a bit. I've been eying the Ruger Mark III hunter 6-7/8". I'm wanting something with a scope mount and a fairly long barrel. Another reason for wanting the ruger is this little piece of magic. Currently I have a couple old 22 pistols from dad: a mark II and a beautiful Browning challenger 2. I like them both but I'm looking for something to trick out with a scope or red dot and maybe something else at some point. Anything to recommend that would give me what I'm looking for? Thanks Daniel

If you love your 1911, don't trade. I've shot the hk USP45 and a hk45 along with a couple 1911s. I wouldn't take a USP over the hk45. I love most HKs but if I were in your position I would probably keep the 1911. Daniel

It was pretty cold. My feet are still a little chill

It sure would be nice if the weather would break. I'm coming either way though.

Working for a company banning weapons on property.

I will not carry on the job. That's not even considered an option (although I'll still have my multi-tool and pocket knife). I don't consider either a weapon. I don't have the proper training to consider a knife a weapon, it's merely a tool. In a safe in the car is what makes the most sense to me. Placing it there a few blocks before getting there. I really want to ask HR what the "practiced policy" is but know that raises a flag if they ever did search cars. -

The company policy bans all weapons ("firearms, knives, swards, explosives, or any object that can potentially inflict harm") from their property including the parking lot. By my interpretation, you should be stripped naked on a concrete pad with noting within 100 yards for that to be possible. I dont understand the BS. What do you guys do when your primary destination during the day prohibits carry even in the car? -
I'll have a couple HK pistols with me (p2000sk and a p7). I should be there around 3.

one tip. I know of two different people with one and the only HP that would feed were hornady critical defense. I didn't really look at the jams with the other rounds, but I'm pretty sure it's because the critical defense has a tight cone like shape (quiet different from most HP. Other than that, it's a great little gun and quiet fun to shoot.

You know the HK45c or p2000 is about what the xgrip makes the p2000sk most similar to. I still think the p30 or hk45 is the best feeling.

I was planning to meet OhShoot this Tuesday out at Norris. Looks like the weather may not want to cooperate though. I'm only about 20 min from Norris, so I'll happily meet ppl there. EDIT: Sorry, OhShoot, for the brain lapse and forgetting that we hadn't really finalized anything.

Were they in pretty good shape? I may go tomorrow to see about one. I had to work this morning.

I was there today from about 3:30-6. When I first got there there were no lanes open but by 4 it started clearing out. (I'll never shoot a mosin without some kind of pad again)

I fired one mag through the same gun out at norris today. Like mentioned, the trigger could use a little work but it's not bad. The recoil wasn't an issue at all. It's a little jumpy but still plenty controlable. I kept about half the rounds on a sheet of printer paper at 20 feet or so. I've never handled a pf9 so I can't help much with a comparison. Daniel

I did some research on one the other night. I think there is a long thread on "the high road" that Mr Boberg himself answered a lot of questions in. It looks like it might be interesting, but I'll wait till some people have 5k+ rounds through some before I'd even begin to consider it. It is nice to see some real innovation though.

Stock grips there's no question. HK p30 or HK45 Maybe a ruger mark II with hogue wraparound.

I might go, I'm not scared of no dang cold.... I've been the past 2 Saturdays. 2 weeks ago it was sleeting and last week it was flurries. I'm not sure I'm up for this Saturday though. I'm planning on going to the range Friday and maybe meeting up with OS Tuesday afternoon. If I go 3 days in a one week span then I will have to ration my ammo for a month...lol. Daniel

His buddies needed some UpLula loaders

I'll prolly go sometime Sat.

I have a mark II and a single six. I still shoot the single six but the Mark II is generally much more fun (especially using one of these).

They aren't bad taking apart and getting back together if you hold it just right.... First time took me an hour before I looked it up. I think the III moves the mag release as well. From the euro baseplate to the side. Other than that, there are just a few safety features that probably will not be noticed in normal use.

Yeah, the page no longer exists it seems. I thought I had a copy of that file somewhere local but can't find it. Surely someone has one downloaded locally. I was hoping to print off a pile of these to use tomorrow. Oh well, I have some others I can print off. Daniel

If I decide to put night sights on my new toy, I may have to take that option. Support the forum and save about $10.

I got to shoot one a few weeks ago. It felt and shot pretty well. The only issue I had with it was the trigger was fairly hard.
