  1. Check sales papers to get the best holiday deal, but when I was TV shopping wal-mart was as competitive as anywhere. Here's a 32" Vizio from WM for $298, I've had a Vizio for 2 years and it has served me well. Vizio 32" LCD HDTV, 720p, 60Hz, E320VL - Walmart.com
  2. I wasn't supposed to get it until Christmas but I bruised my ribs last weekend and my wife had pity on me for staying home all week so she gave it to me early
  3. good feedback so far. Do you have the SAS with the melted slide? I can't decide if I think that's necessary or not.
  4. you can see in this pic just above the trigger is the slide stop pin, which is exactly where my trigger finger wants to rest on the frame
  5. I shoot thumbs forward also but I'm in the exact opposite situation as you. I'm used to shooting my sig pro (which decocker and slide release are located a little differently than Sig P series) and when I started shooting my 1911 I was hitting the slide stop frequently and locking the slide back between rounds. Altered my grip a little and got my left thumb away from slide stop and fixed that problem but I have run into another one. When going to rack the slide back my right index finger rests right on the bulge of the slide stop pin so when the slide gets back to the take-down notch it pops my slide lock into that groove and locks the slide. The only solution I can see is either put my trigger finger elsewhere or cut the end off the slide stop flush with the frame so I can't push it through, but then I would have to use something to pop it out when I go to strip the gun.
  6. Like the title says, those who have had one what are your thoughts? My friend had a da/sa in 40 for a short time period and I got to shoot it a few times and really liked it. I would really like to hear what you say about the DAK as that's what I'm leaning toward now but haven't had the opportunity to shoot one. Also, some pics would be great.
  7. sold my SV650, but here's my two other motorcycles
  8. jumping in a little late but on the first zombie stage where do you turn the power on? i've spent about 10 minutes trying to find it and can't. by the way, i'm hombre625 on xbox live if anyone wants to play some, i'm a little better online than playing zombies lol

as far as price, if he despises the gun and you feel like he really wants rid of it try $250 or 300. you can look at the prices of them new online then determine how much you are willing to pay before you could just go buy a brand new one

yes if you shoot about 200 rounds plus dry fire maybe 300 times the trigger will be noticably smoother. it really isn't a bad trigger, once you dry fire it some and learn the trigger pull you can stage it to shoot more accurately if you need to.
  11. Even though you didn't get to take a shot at anything it still sounds like a pretty good week. A bad day hunting is better than a good day working.
  12. Sounds like it. I have a friend wanting to spend the $300 something for the kimber 22 slide, I would rather a whole different gun. He says how cool would it be to have a Kimber in 22, I told him I wouldn't want a $1400 .22 lol
  13. now just mount a cam on the side of that thing so you can bring the hunt back to TGO
  14. greg that's a nice looking gun for $300. I think I would trade my buckmark for one of those. How's the feeding and reliability through it?
  15. Nice gun, I just got an RIA two weeks ago. I see yours has the better sights and beavertail grip safety, does citadel also call theirs the tactical model? Before I bought my gun I went ahead and ordered a wilson combat magazine in case the act mag didn't work out well, but after 250 rounds of equal usage through both mags I haven't had one malfunction from either. The only issue I ran into at first was with my grip my left thumb was hitting the slide lock every now and then and locking the slide back. It took me a few times doing it before I realized it was user error rather than the function of the gun.
  16. That is a great looking gun. I'm new to 1911's and have been doing a lot of reading over on 1911forum. How do you like the bobbed tail as far as grip? Do you feel like it changes the angle of the gun in your hand? I can see how beneficial it would be in concealment because the most obtrusive point on my gun is the angled grip poking through my shirt.
  17. Sounds like a good trip to the range. My wife shot my airweight one time, her first and last time. Partially due to the recoil, but more so because of the trigger. Right now her gun is a 9mm XD with a 4 in barrel. She has her permit but hasn't started carrying. I'm thinking about one of the slim Taurus 9mm's for her since they have a thumb safety, otherwise she doesn't like the idea of carrying one with a round chambered. Good luck with the progression, hopefully she'll get the addiction.

i need to shoot a few more rounds of +p through my 442. The last time I shot some +p rounds through mine I couldn't tell a difference in the recoil. The POI was also about the same as with the target loads.
  19. so what are the tactics, shoot then stab?
  20. I usually leave my j-frame in the truck all the time. My seat covers have a net pouch in the front that the holstered gun fits in nicely, then if I'm not already carrying I can grab it if I need to and stick it IWB before running in somewhere.
  21. good looking gun and sounds like a nice shooter.
  22. just paid for 2. i wouldn't mind having some that just say TGO that way those who know will know anyway. i was just thinking that a bumper sticker that says tngunowner might make a vehicle a target for a thief, may be over thinking that though. regardless, still excited about getting these
