My mini chest rig holds 6 mags. I keep those six loaded and ready to grab and go. Works for me.

I'm headed up to Alaska in a few weeks. Like many of you on here, the best souvenir would be a new firearm to bring back home with me. If you've been up there, or lived up there, are there any "uniquely" Alaskan guns that you'd consider buying?

Ruger makes great stuff and the SR series is no exception. I was drooling all over their LCR a few weeks ago. (polymer revolver In .38sp). Good luck in the hunt.

Congrats on the new purchase. It bought a 29sf a few months back. Buffalo Bore makes some good full power ammo with a wide variety of loadings. Runs great through a stock Glock.

Just received a Remington 740 in 30-06 my grandfather had and refinished. It has a vintage Weaver fixed-power scope. Beautiful rifle built in December of 1957. I was just wondering if any of you guys had experience hunting with them. I hear alot of mixed opinions on the rifle, so I was wondering what experience you guys might have with them and what level of accuracy I can expect.

Had one and loved it. I sold it to fund another AR-15 build. Wish I had kept it now. Oh well. If you buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

Wow. No shortage of brilliance around here.

No surprises...it ran perfect. I put 300 rounds of 115 grain Federal, American Eagle, and MagTech ammo through it and it ran like a champ. I'm pretty sure I have the "new" recoil spring already installed. It has a "0 4 2" around the base of the spring. Either way, I had zero FTF, FTE, and no other problems. Great pistol. Can anyone shine some light on these numbers on the spring base? Is this the corrected spring assembly?

Just my policy, but I never buy firearms to look at. I buy firearms that are quality shooters. If it were me, I'd say adios to any anniversary show pieces and go with a pistol to go have fun/train with at the range.

I carry my Gen 3 Glock 19 most days. It fits great with my Glock sport/combat holster at 4 o'clock. On occasion, I borrow my wife's Smith and Wesson 442 Airweight for pocket carry in her DeSantis pocket holster. Call me lazy, but it just depends on what's easier to conceal.

Hello Guys. I'm wanting to build an SBR rifle. I have already built an AR with a 16 inch barrel. Is it legal for me to fill out the Form 1 using my existing lower's serial number, so that when I'm approved, I could swap between my 16 inch upper and the SBR upper I will then purchase? I could then build an additional lower and use it only with the 16 inch upper and have 2 independent completed rifles. Bottom line...can I temporarily swap uppers on an NFA registered lower receiver? Thanks in advance on any guidance you can share.

Over the past couple months, I've been doing a little reading on the cost/comparison of the IMI Galil and the M-4. Lately I've been leaning toward the purchase of a Galil due to AK reliability with the benefit of the 5.56 round. Anyone out there own one or have a good bit of experience with one or both to shed some light on the cost/benefit of one or the other?

Great lookin' rifle! I'm actually in the process of doing similar mods to mine as well. Out of curiosity, do you know if those are low or medium scope rings you used? Just wondering if I can squeeze a 40mm objective on top while using low rings. Thanks!

I was hoping to run out to the range tomorrow, (Sat. 01-09-11) and remembered something about it being closed the first FULL weekend of each month. Does any other member out there know if that was last weekend, or is it this weekend that it's closed?
