  1. Beltman belts are great. I have had one for 5 years and have worn it every day. It still looks good and is a great gun belt.
  2. The Shotgun part killed my times. I was reloading from the pockets of my fleece, while everyone else had nifty belt shell holders. I was satisfied with my rifle and pistol scores, for a first time effort. I guess I have more gear to buy now. Soon I am going to open up my own holster and gear rental service.
  3. I believe squad 1. My name is Paul, and I think I was the only Paul there.
  4. I shot 3 gun at MSSA Saturday for the first time. Had a great time. I just need to get some low recoil slugs so I will be able to use my shoulder again! Thanks to Crawlin for the invite.
  5. Somerville PD: Glock 22
  6. There was a Sigma 380 years ago.
  7. Hey guys, I have not been around much due to my wife's never ending to-do lists. I just wanted to let everyone know that my son was born on the 18th. Mom, baby, and 3 y/o sister are doing well. Someday I'll get some sleep again!
  8. I think EVERYONE is on too much medication. Most symptoms that people take medication for, can be relieved with diet and exercise!
  9. Underground Art did mine.
  10. This opinion says it is "an open question." It does not say that reserves are not covered. Reserves qualify under federal law.
  11. Many departments can't afford to hire more full timers. Many times it is just myself and a full time officer working in a town that should have 6 or 7 working at a time.
  12. LMAO! It would only be a fantasy if you were still there!
  13. When I was in college I had insurance through Shelby County, it was worth it. I love my reserve job. I have no intention of going full time. I am an Emergency Room RN in real life. I love both of my jobs and I am grateful for the chance to do both of them.
  14. 80 hours is the requirement. We do way more than that. Interesting info on LEOSA. Leave it to Tennessee to make it a grey area!
  15. BINGO!

    wow....

    LMBO!
  17. I started eating right and working out two months ago. I've lost 30 lbs so far. I figured I needed to get healthy sooner or later!
  18. I have used dent genie in Bartlett before. I don't remember how much it was, but it was reasonable. This was in 2002 when he was just getting started so things may have changed.
  19. I love our reserve program. After you have had all of your training and been on for a while, they will let you loose just like the full time guys. If you don't work hard and they don't trust you, you will end up just riding with a full time guy. I have been on my dept for three years and I respond to calls and make traffic stops on my own.
  20. A small department might be the way to go. My department allows ride alongs as long as you sign a waiver and the Chief approves it. You have to stay in the car at all times though.
  21. I hate shooting my J frame, but I carry it off duty more than any other gun.
  22. Believe it or not, I can conceal a full sized 1911 easier than a glock 27.
