All i know is I just got my HCP last week and picked up a new carry pistol yesterday. I carried for the first time yesterday and can not really describe the piece of mind. I guess if I had to explain the need the carry it would be this. If you need someone to explain the need to carry then more than likely you don't need to carry. When i went through my permit class there were people who wanted to know how to correctly handle a firearm, there were people who I hope to Gawd never carry a firearm. Owning a firearm is a responsibility and the more responsible carrying gun owners there are the better off society will be IMO.

I don't flash my lights. there is a reason speed limits are set where they are. after having over 12 different friends and family die in car crashes and after watching a train take out a bronco because the kids were trying to out run it (knocked this kids head clean off his shoulders) I am not going to try and look out for other people who can not keep it at a reasonable speed. I don't want to be the one who flashes my lights at a drug dealer or some drunk fool giving them a heads up.

recently in franklin, a family living in an apartment had someone force their way into an enclosed back porch and was shot by the resident. So my question is if the scenario is exactly this, someone busting through a screened in porch with the intent to enter the home is the porch not apart of the home? I guess it all depends on if the individual had a weapon on him and was close to entering the residence but the porch thing has me scratching my head. would it not be the same as someone breaking into a garage which is apart of the property?

I am from the MS delta but been in TN since I was 7. lived in Memphis for about 20 years and Franklin the last 8. TN is the best state in the US. we get all the seasons. we have the most beautiful fall in east TN and middle TN, we have the best food in west TN. I wish we had more lakes but other than that, after going coast to coast on business travel for years I do not hesitate to call Middle TN home. The nashville area (Nash, brentwood, franklin) was one of the tech hot spots for a while until the bubble burst. I am an IT guy myself.

one of my best memories as a child was every sunday, after church we would put on some records of Merle Haggard, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Willy Nelson, etc and eat lunch and then clean the house. Now I do like some of the country today but nothing comes close to the country I remember from the 70's and 80's. my hood is apart of what use to be farm land. There is a antebellum home from about 1840 in the middle of our development. this well is next to an old creek that has some very old stone stacked walls and and there are several very old cemeteries in it. One day I did find an old rusted out pump head near a very old oak tree. I would like to get a metal detector and go around some of the open space and see if I can find anything.

well, bought a game camera this weekend, but this one I am using to catch a group of huddlem boys in our neighborhood. there is an old spring house in the back of our neighborhood that was boarded up and the doors sealed with cement blocks. Well a few teenagers had knocked the blocks down and been sneaking in to smoke pot and other crazy stuff. I planted the camera Friday and today we just finished resealing the doorway. now the waiting game begins. All i know is it takes a huddlem to catch a huddlem.

I am only 34 but if I don't keep an eye on my ears on a regular bases, before I know it there is a 2 inch long hair growing out of them. one day I felt something in my ear but every time I messed around in there I found nothing. Then I pinched inside my ear, caught what I thought was a tree trunk and snatched it. I was impressed and horrified at the same time. it is stuff like this that I will turn in my man card on a temp basis to get permanent hair removal. THis is the type of stuff that will keep grandkids away from you

well, probably been discussed and is the closet thing I got but.. been shot from about 60 yards away with birdshot on a quail hunt. peppered so not a big deal. Been shot at 2 other times. Once was at a club in memphis when a fight got out of hand and a drunk pulled out a 38 and started shooting at the crowd. Bullet hit the ceiling about 3 foot over my head. Then again while leaving a party in "cold water" mississippi. Apparently the farmer out there got tired of kids getting drunk and running through his fields. We were not the ones doing it but we were the closest things he could get pissed off at and fired a few rounds at us. He chased us down to the end of the field but we ended up getting to the road before he did and we lost him once we got to the dirt road. good times

as much as I am happy to be out of Memphis I miss it equally. The memphis area has such character and such quality and depth of places to eat.

I lived in collierville for about 20 years. Arlington for about 2 I love the cvill-germantown but access to memphis area was always a big ordeal. Of course that was when the nonconna parkway had not been completed yet. when I was 22 I bought a house in Arlington TN. Loved it. quick access to 40. 20 minutes away from Collierville, 10 minutes from malls and shopping. alrington was the best value in terms of price and the ability to be in civilization without civilization being to crowded.

I have never owned an apple product. I have had a blackberry and I have had 4 windows mobile phones. I now have a driod incredible and it is indeed, incredible. Had it for about 10 or so months now and I love it. I go to work, pull up my "iheartradio" app and listen to my right wing propaganda from 8-2 (glenn and rush). then listen to pandora till I go home. Been an outstanding phone so when it it time to get a new one I will either get a new andriod, just don't think the iphone is worth the extra monthly charge when my andriod does all the iphone does.

The raptors look cool as crap but boy, they sure juiced it up and the MPG went down big time. Other than that I would love to get a raptor but since I work for Nissan I will be sticking with a Titan

well I saw it friday, thought it was an excellent movie. They were able to take a book written in the 1950s and perefectly set it in modern times. The only thing I will say is towards the end you could tell they were pressed for time. The scene in which they went to Wisc to the motor company was rushed big time. other than that, great start. This will be the type of movie that gets better and better because it will get more and more funding
