Someone good is running against Corker!
1pointofview replied to macville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
will for sure give her a look. Corker is a worthless liberal republican who barely beat a horrible candidate in ford jr. I will vote for anyone else not named corker, that is of course he is the republican candidate and then I will be looking for an independent candidate. of neither then I will hold my nose -
Permit class in or around Franklin, TN?
1pointofview replied to brent_strong's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
i was about to take it at useltons but then bought a groupon for Academy of Self Defense. I think the owner of Useltons is a retired law man so that is always a good thing I guess -
You know, I enjoy going into Useltons as well but out of the last 6 times I have been in, only 1 time have I seen anyone in the range. Maybe it is used but for what they are charging, even for 1 time use they would be smart to drop it to 10 per use, stop the silly practice of making you buy their ammo. but it ain't my shop and I have no idea what to takes to build a range. I know it costs money to run a range and ongoing costs are real. So it may take what they are charging to but goodness, it hurts

I went in looking for a mid sized 9 and settled on the ruger LC9. I wanted something real easy to conceal and when I compared he size of the LC9 and the LCP 380 i went with the 380. I have been real happy with the 380 at this point

McCain is pretty close to the worst example of a republican that I can think of
-
I liked Cain, he was the most consistent from the beginning. I believe his troubles were amplified and over exaggerated but I would assume about 1/4 of the alligations were actually credible at the very least. Had he stayed in I would have voted for him, heck, he was the first person I ever donated to (of course the poop hit the fan literaly 1 week later) Now I am behind Newt, not because of his track record but because of his ability to articulate. I don't think newt is a 100% conservative, i think he is a progressive with conservative leanings. Anything progressive scares me but here is what I would like to see. I would like to see a Newt/ Santorum ticket. The key with Newt is having a conservative congress to keep him in check. I think if we can push some of the crap republicans like Beohner, Canter and the like to the curb and replace them with the likes of West/Rubio/Ryan we will be in good shape. At the end of the day, I think anyone left (minus Perry/Huntsman) can win. I just want someone who can articulate conservatism. If Romney gets the nod then a conservative congress is imperative otherwise we will have the 3rd term of Bush. Someone who only does what is right when you have the political will to do so

so what I am hearing is all you do is talk them down? That is fine and it seems to work for them because they seem to always have 4-8 people working there so they must be making money but I like to find the best price and not deal with hagglin. I looked at a Ruger LCP and their price was like $360est + $30. I went to Guns for America and bought it for $318 and $20 for some defense ammo. They may have come down and matched the price but to me, if you are that far off it makes me believe I can still get a $10-20 better deal elsewhere. Now if I saw a $10 difference on the sticker I would simply pay the extra bit because of convenience and the fact they have always been good to work with. But the Franklin Tax seems to be a bit steep and I live in Franklin.

I am going with bama with this one.

Moved from Arlington to Franklin about 9 years ago. I loved living there. Far enough away from memphis but close enough to get there in about 15 minutes.

hate to say it because everyone up there is great and they have outstanding inventory IMO but yeah, they are just way to high. my last two purchases have started off looking around at FGS but ended up at guns for america buying the same gun $50 less. If I had the money I would love to give them some business but $50 is ammo

Been watching SOG for a few seasons now. My 9 year old daughter loves it. This is made up reality tv just as american guns, except American guns does have hot moms At the end of the day, it is guns, bullets and an hour of entertainment. If people are looking for intellectual value I suggest picking up a book.

I have had many events that change my direction or outlook but there has nothing that has fundamentally changed me. The scary thing about fundamental change is there is no guarantee the event is going to be good or bad so quite honestly I am not sure if I am egging for it to happen, not sure I am going to push my bad luck

and Twinkies. I plan on stock piling twinkies. Either way, if 2013 comes and we are ok what is the worst that can happen by preparing? I would much rather have been over prepared than under prepared and at the complete mercy of the great unknown.

I bought a SR40 a few months ago and have taken it to the range about 3 times now. I have owned nothing but long guns my entire life so my experience with pistols are limited but I do love my SR40. I have pull off about 300 rounds so far and I have a opposite issue with groupings. I have to aim up and left to find center. So this tells me it may be more with how I hold and pull the trigger than the gun at this point

I put about 50 rounds down range with my brand new out of the box LCP with no issue. Broke it down at the range and cleaned and oiled it up. Mine was flawless fwiw

Tennessean writing about CCW reciprocity laws
1pointofview replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
maybe, but he still works for the tennessean. He may be ok but the rest of those occupying liberal hacks make up for what ever 'objectivity" he may have -
been following beck ever since the marxist took over the white house. I have enjoyed him on fox and listen to him most every morning while at work. I understand what he is saying about Newt but I actually like Newt and will be voting for him in the primary. I was going to vote for Cain until the craziness kicked him out of the running. A newt/santorum ticket will suit me nicely The key over the next few years will be ensuring a strong conservative congress. One with common sense and a return to the Constitution.

be careful folks, an al tennjazeera writer on this forum is not a good thing -
Just got back from the range with my Ruger LCP 380. I took my ruger SR40 as well and I was really suprised because I was more accurate with my LCP than my 40. Maybe because this was the first time I have every shot a LCP and was more aware of my handling and breathing but I was real accurate with it at 25 yards putting 4 shots within the 3rd ring out of 6 and a total of 7 shots within the 3rd ring out of 12. I was pleased, it shot real nice. The sights were very flat making it hard for me to focus 25 yards down range but it seemed to work out because again, I was on more than my full frame 40. Long story short, was happy and more importantly it fits great in my pocket

and saw a few .223's in the case. apparently they just started selling ARs, they had a Sig and bush master for $897 . was impressed

i sent off for mine on like Dec 7 and got mine on Dec 20 and rewarded myself with a Ruger LCP. Merry Christmas

From my employee handbook Employee Conduct Policy – Appendix A Examples Non-Compliant Behaviors and Actions that will result in Corrective Action Possession of firearms or other weapons on company property Retaliation in response to any company action I will say this, I wish the state of TN would pass a law that would allow individuals to go through additional ongoing training that would let people carry anywhere law enforcement personal can carry. I think if you put in the effort, time and training you should be able to carry anywhere at anytime.
