  1. OS: I am not going there! I know what I have read and studied about different religions in the world. If you think I am wrong so be it and go in peace with your belief!!!
  2. I decided to lighten up my load for EDC. I picked up a PS90 which is a bit lighter than my P556 and I can carry 2 spare mags for it and they are lighter than 60 rounds of 5.56. Of course I picked up a bandoleer for 410 shells that holds 20 rounds for my Judge magnum. If my math is right I now carry 175 rounds of ammo each time I am out and about on my property each day. I think Mike needs a SBR PS90 in a computer shoulder bag with 4 spare mags. It would make a nice BUG!
  3. Well! YES! Order the rail that replaces the fore grip. and I thought the tactical model would be better because I can use whatever optics I want on it and the replacement rail allows a variety pf optional forward grips. I have a bipod grip and a CT green laser grip as well as a SIG laser light vertical grip. I plan to shoot it in the next couple of days. ADD: The picture at FNH USA is not how the weapon is sold This Shows the optional rail I have mentioned and the shown optic is optional also. this: is what you get in either black or green. I got the black and waited over a month for the front rail from my LGS. I ordered it on line and had it in less than a week. The supplier for my LGS said it was back ordered from FN. I found Pmags stick a bit but I sprayed them with Baricade then wiped them down and they are smoother in and out. I will know more in a couple of days.
  4. I will thank you for bringing up who on this site to ignore as they tend to respond to statement by attempting to start arguments. Or maybe that is just how I saw your comments on other threads along with some of the other posters I thought were being argumentative. I did not feel a need to cry about my mistreatment by some supposed bully. Run back home to Momma so she can tell you what a good boy you are.
  5. Kimberchick: Well said!!!! Pre Coffee or not!
  6. "It doesn't come out of the bindery with a magical glowing aura around it." Some think it does if it is a Christian Bible! Some Muslims think that about their Holy Book whatever spelling you give it!
  7. Frogs! and ducks!
  8. WOW! and all these years I thought there were only two ways to carry a 1911. Empty or Cocked and Locked.
  9. I prefer the Kimber line. I have the CDP. I was going to carry that before I found an RCP in 3 inch which fits in my pocket: It shoots as well as the PRO CDP once you get the hang of the trough site.
  10. This one makes me feel old because I was married to wife #3 with step- children and grand kids in 1980.
  11. We were posting at the same time. I got up for another cuppa before I hit submit so did not see your post. I sort of remember the first ones.
  12. You want to spoil a fun discussion with "FACTS"!
  13. SWJwellTN: While generally you are correct it is Hospitals where the majority of people die while under the care of doctors. That means Hospitals should be outlawed. There are a great many people that die in bed so beds should be banned.
  14. I lived in the desert of southern Nevada for 54 years. There are groups that provide food for the wild horses that became wild when they were released by their owners. The population situation has become either let them die of natural causes such as lack of water/ food or round them up and auction them off. The "wild" horses are not native to the area and destroy the habitat of native species and put them at risk. They also become a traffic hazard on rural roads. The federal government has yet to provide evidence they are capable of doing something right but something needs to be done about the horses.
  15. Just give it the "Redneck" look with Duct tape and bailing wire. Drill 1/8 inch holes on each side of the break and wire it back together with the bailing wire then for the finished look cover the seem with duct tape. Other wise I think you have been given a lot of good advise!
  16. They forgot: Do not leave your house as you are 1,000 times more likely to be run over by a vehicle than to be shot by a gun so all vehicles should be banned as they are deadly weapons. Bridges should be banned because people tend to jump off of bridges to commit suicide. No building should extend further than 3 feet off the ground because people get injured falling off buildings and the taller the building the more serious the injury. Children should not be allowed to ride as passengers in a motor vehicle because that is more hazardous than having a loaded gun in the house. I forgot: You should not eat food because the chances are you might become ill from the food. Do not breath because the air might contain a deadly contaminate.
  17. When I found the Kimber RCP that became my carry. 45acp!
  18. jackdm3: Sorry to hear about your loss. Let that be a lesson to all gun owners! Make sure you hire a reputable climbing guide to when your guns decide they want to go mountain climbing. Most guns are not properly experienced to attempt this on their own and that leads to just this sort of tragic accident. I failed to to send mine to swimming classes before they went deep sea fishing in a canoe and the boat flipped over.
  19. I was going to take the wife out to shoot her's today but the rain washed that idea away. She saw a Bobcat going after her ducks and the weapon was in the safe so the bobcat got away. Now she wants to practice and keep the PS90 handy!!!!! With the setup on her PS90 she can hit 6 inch steel at 154 yards. That is the furthest plate on my range. Now she wants to practice shooting while being steadied against a tree rather than sitting at a bench. You will enjoy shooting the weapon but buy your ammo in bulk because it is easy to go through "LOTS".
  20. What gave you the impression that this was supposed to be a serious discussion? I personally thought it was comedy hour!
  21. TIN FOIL HATS: Scientific basis The notion that a tin foil hat can significantly reduce the intensity of incident radio frequency radiation on the wearer's brain has some scientific validity, as the effect of strong radio waves has been documented for quite some time.[3] A well-constructed tin foil enclosure would approximate a Faraday cage, reducing the amount of (typically harmless) radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation inside. A common high school physics demonstration involves placing an AM radio on tin foil, and then covering the radio with a metal bucket. This leads to a noticeable reduction in signal strength (probably because of the bucket and not the tinfoil, eliminating the utility of the foil). The efficiency of such an enclosure in blocking such radiation depends on the thickness of the tin foil, as dictated by the skin depth, the distance the radiation can propagate in a particular non-ideal conductor. For half-millimetre-thick tin foil, radiation above about 20 kHz (i.e., including both AM and FM bands) would be partially blocked, although tin foil is not sold in this thickness, so numerous layers of tin foil would be required to achieve this effect.[4] The effectiveness of the tin foil hat as electromagnetic shielding for stopping radio waves is greatly reduced by the fact that it is not a complete enclosure. Placing an AM radio under a metal bucket without a conductive layer underneath demonstrates the relative ineffectiveness of such a setup. Indeed, because the effect of an ungrounded Faraday cage is to partially reflect the incident radiation, a radio wave that is incident on the inner surface of the hat (i.e., coming from underneath the hat-wearer) would be reflected and partially 'focused' towards the user's brain. While tin foil hats may have originated in some understanding of the Faraday cage effect, the use of such a hat to attenuate radio waves belongs properly to the realm of pseudoscience. Just use more layers of the cheap stuff or as an alternative you could just put a Mylar potato chip bag on your head as mylar has better reflective properties than even Aluminum foil. You should also cover your windows with Mylar reflective treatment so the waves stop effecting you in your house! This is the ultimate head gear that is used to protect sensitive computer equipment during transport to keep it from being affected by transient waves: Pink Antistatic Ziplock Bags 4 Mil Amine-Free Pink Antistatic Ziplock Bags Traditional static protection where Faraday Cage protection is not required. Superior performance in low relative humidity. Meets full static decay requirements of MIL-PRF-81705D Type II & EIA-541.
  22. You do realize that in Muslim countries it is illegal to promote Christianity and posses Christian material for distribution.

    PS90

JHatmaker: If you are thinking about the FS2000 you need to order the replacement rail now. I was only able to find it at FN FS2000 Tactical Picatinny Rail Forend [FN3830500] - $174.95 : Area 51 Tactical, 334 375-7153 as it is on back order from FN But maybe I did not look hard enough at other sources.
  24. If Oak Ridge goes that will give me the opportunity to see another Mushroom cloud in my life time. Being outside of the normal wind patterns that pass over ORNL I would miss the fall out also. The chance of that happening is less than the Yellowstone Cauldera blowing or a major earthquake hitting western Tennessee. I really thing it would be more likely an F5 tornado would touch down on my property because ORNL is probably a 3rd or 4th level target rather than first due to the amount of stock piled ammunition already in storage that would be targeted first. Delivery transport, Storage facilities then manufacture of delivery systems and finally manufacture of ammunition.
  25. It seems we are dealing with a person who is one of the sheep or a wannabe herder leading the rest of the sheeple to slaughter. There is a line between a believer and a fanatic and once the line is crossed the fanatic has actually lost the faith and becomes what they are railing against. I had a son-in-law that was going to let his daughter die before he would take her to the doctor. I drove to Kansas and drove my step daughter to Nevada where the divorce was final 6 weeks later and the children were treated by a doctor as sonn as they arrived. There are still places where you can take your flock to worship in whatever way you want. Just remember The Peoples Temple and Jim Jones to see how you appear to others. Peoples Temple - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Excerpt: Peoples Temple was a quasireligious organization founded in 1955 by Jim Jones that, by the mid-1970s, included over a dozen locations in California including its headquarters in San Francisco. It is best known for the events of November 18, 1978 in Guyana, in which 918 people died at the Peoples Temple Agricultural Project (informally, and now commonly, called "Jonestown"), a nearby airstrip at Port Kaituma, and Georgetown. The tragedy at Jonestown resulted in the greatest single loss of American civilian life in a non-natural disaster, prior to the events of September 11, 2001. At the airstrip, Temple members murdered, among others, Congressman Leo Ryan, the only Congressman murdered in the line of duty in United States history. I would not normally copy and paste or get involved in what I consider Quasi religious giberish such as you are pushing but as you continue distributing your trash talk I wanted to show where that leads. You should learn to live the christen life by deeds rather than words because your words are distorting your goals if those goals are to show people the right path. You can preach all you want but teaching requires being an example to follow.
