class 3 trust question
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dustbuster's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Yeah, I have a real schedule A and a "revised" schedule A for submissions. I am not going to include a schedule A with my next eFile. I have been told by several people they got approved without a recent schedule A attached. Just make sure to add it to the hard copy to cover you, or any trustee, if it comes into question whether the NFA item is trust property. -
I think I know where I am going today.

ATF cannot make a ruling and change the "firearm" from a pistol grip shotgun on a whim. It is written in USC and is pretty black and white.
-
And remember if you do pay for a stamp there is a difference between and AOW and a SBS. Both cost the same to make.
-
18" barrels are the federal law so there is no way to get below that with a "shotgun". Now if you buy a shotgun that came from the factory with a pistol grip it is not considered a "shotgun", but is considered a "firearm", so there is not an 18" barrel requirement for "firearms". What is required is the "firearm" must be at least 26" long and cannot have a stock. So you can have a 14" barrel as long as the "firearm" is at least 26" long.

May need to have upper trued up on lathe
Dolomite_supafly replied to Ron Padilla's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
If it is hitting high the problem is probably not a messed up mounting surface. From what I have seen that problem tilts the barrel down, not up. I would also check whatever muzzle device you are using to make sure it is not being kissed by the bullet. I would try factory ammo before doing anything permanent. -
Quick question about Purchase background check denial

Wow, did not know this. Is it in the law or are they arbitrarily doing this on their own? -
Ukraine might have been nuked, video inside.
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
And I guess Putin makes good on his threats. http://euromaidanpress.com/2015/02/08/putin-threatens-to-use-nuclear-warheads-against-ukraine-eu/ -
Here is a video from Ukraine, anyone please tell me this is NOT a nuke. Classic mushroom, although small, along with a pretty substantial shockwave. If this is true that is the first nuke in a very, very long time but even more disturbing is the fact someone felt it was ok to take that step across that line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuQ5EPnSE_4 And here is a view from a satellite:

http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/47083-squaring-up-an-ar-15-upper/ If it is a billet upper that will not be a problem. Forged uppers almost always have a problem. How many different loads have you tried. Reloading can take some time to figure out what your gun likes. Do not expect to find the right load on the first trip to the range. What caliber? -
I want a lever or pump to thread for a suppressor.

It would take what most Americans are unwilling to do and that is kill every Muslim born for the next two generations. Until we do that every little Muslim will grow up to be a big threat. Drive the Muslim religion underground and it will eventually disappear.
-
There are some other videos by this guy there are just as enlightening. The Muslims always say they will not slaughter innocents but "innocents" in their religion means anyone who is Muslim and innocent. Anyone who does not accept Allah is not considered to be innocent and will be killed. So the smallest child who is not Muslim is not considered innocent. Their definitions of certain things, like innocent, are totally different than ours.

DUI is NOT a reason to be denied a gun purchase. Not sure about whether a DUI with a weapon can though. A DUI can affect your HCP though. -
AR 15 Optics for people with an Astigatism
Dolomite_supafly replied to Congo's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
My astigmatism is a number 8 when shooting red dots. If the two dots weren't so close they would work great for hold over. The 8 is kind of tilted too. -
You are more than welcome to shoot my Shield.

Knoxville reloading supplies?
Dolomite_supafly replied to battleop's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I have never had great luck with the 7.5's. Try some Tula SRM primers and you will see a reduction in your SD numbers. Matter of fact when using 7.5 primers I had the worst SD numbers ever. This was against CCI 400, CCI 41, Wolf and Tula. I bought a bunch of 7.5s back in 2008 when all primers were scarce and I still have a bunch left over as last resort, or plinking, primers. -
Jp silent capture spring and DD side charger
Dolomite_supafly replied to Ron Padilla's topic in Show and Tell
The best way to tame recoil is to install an adjustable gas block and tune the gas for the load. I have a gun that weighs 5 pounds and has less recoil than a gun twice its weight. That is because it is gassed perfectly. -
Here is the cheapest version of the brake above I have seen yet, heck of a deal for $35. http://www.sdtacticalarms.com/SDTA-pig-coversound-blaster_p_72.html

I seen that and really like how it is laid out. But I do question why because there is no need to clean an AK unless you shoot corrosive.

Remington 300 BO Supersonic at Wal Mart
Dolomite_supafly replied to KahrMan's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That is actually a great price. That is regarded as the most accurate supersonic ammunition for the 300 Blackout. -
Suppressor covers
Dolomite_supafly replied to jacob's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I actually started wrapping mine in cotton canvas and using a couple of rubber bands to hold it in place. Yeah it is ghetto but it works great. And when the rubber bands break from heat you know it is time for a break. I think having a cover makes the can a bit quieter as well. 20 rounds of subsonic 300 Blackout will make my can too hot to handle. 5.56 would be way worse.
