A guy named Stephen Wilson Jr. popped up in my Insta feed. I really like what he's turning out. The first one below is like a Gen X anthem. The second has some really good acting considering you can't hear them, just the music. They make you feel the anguish pouring out of the singer. Warning: Adult themes of domestic abuse in the second one.

Those giant training rifles are pretty cool. They came apart to show the inner workings. I've seen come up from time to time on auction sites. I think it would be neat to have one to hang on a wall. https://www.thearmorylife.com/the-arsenal-of-democracys-oversized-training-guns/

They come from the factory that way. Mine has one or more very small seepages on the driver's side. Again . . . 27K miles . . . I knew going in we were buying Chrysler quality. I tried to talk Mrs. 'lizard out of it, but that didn't work so I just resolved myself to have a sinking-fund for repairs on it. I swear this thing is like a boat with wheels.

Looking for gun "safe" opinions

Placed adjacent or on a load bearing wall it should be fine. The water in a filled standard 60" tub weighs a bit over 600 lbs. plus the weight of the tub. A larger "garden tub" can double that. -
A former coworker recommended Music City 4x4 in Madison. Anyone have any dealings with them? If not, Mill Creek Overland may be the destination, but he can't get to it for a couple of weeks.

I thought about the steering damper. It was replaced under a TSB/Recall by the dealer I got it from after they took it in. I suppose it could be bad again.

Hey, TGOers. I need recommendations for a Jeep shop. I have a totally stock 2019 JLU Wrangler. Yesterday I was on I-40 about 75mph and hit a small bump (nothing crazy). The front end started shaking pretty good. I slowed down and when I got to about 65mph it quit. Odd, I thought. then I hit another bump (just a bridge joint) and this time it was worse and didn't stop until I had slowed down to somewhere below 25mph. I'm not sure I'd call it the "death wobble". It wasn't so violent I thought it would flip, but it's probably somewhat related. Did the usual research on the Jeep forums and I know it could be something as simple as an improperly torqued nut on a suspension part all the way up to worn ball joints. Ball joints seems unlikely since it only has about 25K miles and it has never been offroaded that I know of. I got it with I think around 12K miles on it and the first owner was an older person. Now it's Mrs. 'lizard's mall-crawler. I don't have the tools to check everything or the knowledge of suspension parts to feel confident I'm checking things properly. It's out of warranty. Are there any shops in the Middle TN area that specialize in Jeeps you'd recommend to diagnose and fix the problem?

They got backed up last month with the FedEx delays from the snow & ice. Wonder if they're still trying to catch up?

Anyone planning for trouble?

AvGas is short for Aviation Gasoline. You can get it at airports. Not every airport will sell it to people with gas cans, not an airplane. One of the best fuel stabilizers out there is PRI-G. I get ethanol-free gasoline and treat it with PRI-G. Stored in steel NATO Jerry cans, I've used it up to 3 years later and it runs fine in my vehicles and my small engines. -
Their fried pies were better than that hippie baked garbage they sling these days.

Yep. Even if it's catch & release, those fish came from somewhere and there's a good chance they came from a TWRA hatchery, not natural population growth within our lakes and rivers.

Nope. Men wouldn't double-back like that. At the end of the first aisle, we loop around the back and up the second aisle.

Recommend low cost (Sub $300) night vision
monkeylizard replied to monkeylizard's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Obviously looking for something like these. Just wondering if they're a total waste of money or not. https://www.opticsplanet.com/barska-night-vision-nvx700-monoculars.html https://www.opticsplanet.com/x-vision-2-0-pro-digital-night-vision-binoculars.html -
Hey TGOers. My mom wants to get my dad some NV of some sort. Handheld monocular or binos would be fine, doesn't have to be actual goggles. They just want to watch deer in the yard at night. She said $200-300 range. Is it even possible to find something that actually works well enough to watch deer in that price range? Distance would probably be under 50 yards. They come up pretty close to the house. They can hear them moving in the tall grass at night but can't see them. Longer distances would be better, of course. They have a large empty field behind the house with max distance being 200-300 yards away, but he'd need magnification to watch deer at that distance.

At the old Harding Mall in Nashville there was a Jennie Craig or Weight Watchers location right between a Blimpie's Subs and a Baskin-Robbins. I have no idea who moved in first....

We had one like this circa 1979 or so. You'd roll the wheel on the left to select a row, then push a button to select that column. -

Saw one of these this summer at Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park. First time I've seen one in at least 10 years. -

RE: the OP's question . . . Being on the phone and someone else picking up another phone in the house and listening in. Being chained to a cord while on the phone. Not knowing who was calling when the phone rang. Riding in the back window ledge of a car and waving at the cops. Sleeping in the rear floorboard with the warm transmission tunnel as a pillow. Having to call MOVIE PHONE or get a newspaper to know what the theater was showing. A bookshelf full of Encyclopedias . . . and learning about the important stuff in the "S" book 1940s and 50s cars and trucks had them. I know the Chevy 3100 Advanced Design trucks had them.
