  10. Mommie-Not-So-Dearest triumphed over "The Good Wife." Katey Sagal, who plays the ruthless matriarch of an outlaw motorcycle gang in FX's "Sons of Anarchy," scored the first upset of the Golden Globes ceremony when she won for lead actress in a television drama, beating out popular favorites Julianna Margulies in "The Good Wife" and Kyra Sedgwick in "The Closer." "I'm so shocked, but I am prepared," she said as she began her acceptance speech. But Sagal's win was especially sweet for the actress and "Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, given the hoopla that erupted last year when the cable network's most popular series failed to nab any nominations. Critics hailed the drama and singled out Sagal, whose character endured several intense storylines, including being brutally beaten and raped by a white surpremacist. Sutter, married to Sagal, fired off several scathing tweets on his blog blasting Emmy voters and taking a particularly nasty shot at nominee Mariska Hargitay ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"). Industry insiders said Sutter alienated academy members and potentially jeopardized the drama's chances for award consideration. Sagal, best known for her role as the daffy Peg Bundy in "Married…With Children," paid special tribute to Sutter during her acceptance: "Sweetheart, I love you. I'm so glad you're the boss of me." Appearing backstage moments later, Sagal said, "[Kurt] is super happy for me. This honors our show as well as honors me. So I give this to him, and we'll see what he does with it. I am proudly holding it." Way to go Katey and SOA!
  11. Very True. I will make that one of my New Year's Resolutions.
  12. I get mailing from them about once a month or so. I am a Life member so I don't have to worry about renewing. So most of it I don't even open just dump in the trash. I get far more JUNK mail from Comcast, credit card companys, AARP, AAA, my insurance company and others that I can't think of. They go in the trash too. So to me junk maiil from the NRA is just the tip on the ice burg. I just learn to live with it and feed the local land fill.
  13. Sweet!
  14. Did not have anything for the Redneck Wine Glass so I settled on one of my favorites a Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout. Yum.
  15. I don't think that was made for wine.
  16. I first got into rc cars in 1990 and spent the next 20 years racing them in one form or an other. I wish I had the money back that I sank into them. If so I would have one formidable arsenal now. So what did you buy your son and what did you get for yourself? Gas or electric?
  17. I don't go to many movies but this is one I will go see. The Coen brothers are great.
  18. What I do know about it is an H&R Arms, so post WWII, Gauge 3.2, muzzle good to very good, stock very nice few dings or scratches, has some mixed parts and a milled trigger guard. I have not had time to tear down and check on the other parts as to who manufactured them. Serial# 470xxxx. Also picked up 480 arounds of ammo. So this will be a shooter. Can't wait to get out and give it a try.
  19. My find of the weekend and one of my bucket list guns.
