  1. OS is right... There is no law that prohibits carry at gun show, unless it is at a school or other place already off limits. So each show has it's own rules. All I have ever heard of usually have a sign that says "No loaded firearms" This is more than likely to prevent a loaded weapon from being handled, given back and forth to individuals, etc... If you do not plan on selling/trading your carry weapon or anything else with it...you should be able to CC without any problem. If you are going to possibly trade/sell it or if you are looking for a holster for it and plan to insert in the holster to try it out....I would unload it and check it at the door.
  2. HB1395/SB1724 Firearms and Ammunition - As introduced, prohibits employers from prohibiting persons possessing a handgun carry permit from transporting and storing a firearm out of sight in a locked vehicle on any property set aside for vehicles.
  3. That has to be about the most stupid thing I've ever heard of......
  4. Welcome
  5. I figure you are right.... ...and as much as I'd like to be able to carry in all 50 states, I don't want the feds to be the ones trying to get it done...
  6. Or one overbearing federal goverment.
  7. Welcome
  8. I figure there are a few like that....but I'd rather not be able to carry in a few and then be able to carry in the rest as opposed to none at all, like now.
  9. Welcome
  10. Good job Freshman...
  11. There is not a summary, but if you click Resolution number...you can read the actualy wording. See HJR0104 & HJR0108
  12. Not sure about AL, but yes, in TN a LEO can temporarily disarm you if he feels it is needed, but he is supposed to return your handgun before discharging you. However it looks like the AL law (without seeing the actual bill) could still allow a LEO to seize a firearm from you and keep it. I have to say...major loophole as well.
  13. Welcome
  14. TN needs to hire a few more too I believe.
  15. No Problem!

  19. You can click here to read the Fiscal Note for HB0053. HB0221/SB0172 has a fine only as punishment. So therefor it's Fiscal Note (see here) says there is not a significant impact.
  20. The law changed a few years ago.. ....and you are right about that just because two states don't have a written agreement that it doesn't mean they won't recognize the other's permit.
  21. Welcome
  22. TN and AL do not have written reciprocity agreement between each other, however TN honors all other states permits (per TN state law), including AL and AL still recognized TN permits. As far as the difference between written reciprocity and simply recognizing or honoring permits, this has been discussed and a search can find it. That is wrong, people from AL can carry in TN, just as anyone with valid permit from any state can carry in TN. Whether there is a written reciprocity agreement or not.
  23. Don't really know...
