  1. Don't know if this would cover all, but below are a couple of places to check. Multiple Code Search Service http://www.mtas.utk.edu/public/municodesweb.nsf/
  2. LOL...if I could only turn that into something profitable....
  3. We're gaining a little... 57% now
  4. IMO I agree that the deck is still part of or within the confines of the buidling. Just like in the self-defense law where it says an attached porch is part of the dwelling. ...and in my defense, I have only been to two Hooters (Denver and Nashville on 2nd Av) in my whole life.
  5. I agree...new permits have a statutory time limit renewals do not...so new permits probably do have priority. Bet when they never though when they allowed renewals up to 6 months before expiration that it may not be enough time...lol If you go to a DL station to renew your permit, you get a receipt that is valid as permit till your renewal comes in, if you renew by mail, you have to hope it comes in before the expiration of your old. In the past not a real problem, but now that is why the issue the letters to those who call and ask.
  6. Of course who really knows, but...I'm not so sure He would carry, but I bet He'd have some around him who did.
  7. True....my understanding is even printing can get you arrested in TX. Some other states with no OC are AR, OK, FL, SC
  8. I bet the report for day 400 or even 4000 will be the same.
  9. The state can't, but according to the AG a property owner can regulate CC or OC on their property. AG Opinion 07-148 Question 7
  10. Totally agree with 100% of this post. I was self-consicious at first, but it passed. As far as being the first shot if you OC....still waiting even one verifiable report of this.
  11. They probably wouldn't know. That is why most of the time it is caught at audits, during general conversation. Not go side track the the thread anymore than has been done, but ever think that might be why LEOs ask general questions about what's going on with you? Many people will hang themselves if given the rope.
  12. I agree with molonlabetn. The "tricky" think is, technically the person receiving the gun, should report the value of the gun as income to the IRS. When I took the H&R Block tax school YEARS ago, they said during an audit, bartered income was the most often thing people where caught on.
  13. Welcome
  14. State law says the driver can not not have an open container, but passengers can. So if there are 4 people in the car, their had better only be 3 open cans. Many cities have ordnance's against open containers in public period. In a car or on the street. They law, if changed would still allow open containers in Vehicles for hire (Limos) and the living area of RVs. As of now it has been sent to Summer Study Committee HB3059 Current State Open Container law.
  15. I too would say no at Hooters. One reason is, unless you're going to jump the rail, you'd have to pass through the confines of the building to get to or leave the deck. As far as parking lots, even where beer is being consumed...IMO I'd say you could carry as long as you are not drinking. The parking lot is definitely not within the confines of the building.
  16. Let me say that I don't necessarily believe the two post I referenced in the thread from the other board are common and maybe even less common in TN, but they do happen. Just one reasons some may not be so up front about their carry status.
  17. http://www.usacarry.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2483 Post #1 Post #23
  18. Rabbi... not sure you're right...but dand sure can't say you're wrong either.
  19. Hell...shouldn't need a "permit" in the fist place....
  20. Yep...same building, but two different business' (premises'?). Just like store A could ban weapons and the mall, but store B might not. But have to admit, not sure what the definition of "premises" is when it comes to this statute.
  21. That has been discussed on the GPS forums as well. If out in public I'll usually just take mine in with me, came with a nice little case. Glad you're out there Mike.....we do need men to keep the old ways alive!
  22. There not only good for directions, but for knowing where POI (Point Of Interest) like gas stations, banks, grocery stores, etc... are when you are in unfamiliar territory.
