  1. Yeah I'm wondering if something like that would work better. The crossbow is supposed to preserve the grass. I'm thinking something like that can't be a strong as something that kills everything in it's path.
  2. Is it similar to crossbow? Looks like similar ingredients.   Luckily this area bush is in an area that we normally mow with the lawnmower so I shouldn't have an issue with them coming back.
  3. Well I have three more on further back about the size of house trailers so I'm not gonna miss them. This one is in the way of my shooting berm!
  4. It's pretty big and has lot's of briars. I just don't want to mess with it really haha. I'll have to do that once it's dead anyways but it's bee easier to handle.
  5. That's what I have been reading about. I'm guessing you have experience with it? You think I am too late to spray this year? Seems like as long as they are active it should soak up the spray.
  6. Ha unfortunately I can't use that fun option. It is right next to my fence line which means it's right next to a bunch of tall flammable grass. I'll have to go the slow way.
  7. Just looking for the best spray to kill one of these. I removed one before with a walk behind bush hog but would rather not rent one again just for that. I see a couple different type sprays available but have no epxerience with any of them. Any ideas?
  8. Couldn't get anyone to come with me but I'll be there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Ill be honest. After shooting my almost SBR this weekend without the stock I am wanting to build a pistol. It's not as hard to shoot accurately as I thought. I believe I will do it in 300 blackout as well though. I bet the 5.56 is a little fireball shooter with the short barrel. I like the idea of having a separate upper for .22. 10. I'm gonna wait until the SBR comes in. Once I get a stock I have a feeling the groups will tighten up. I do want to try some sub sonics though as well. Gonna have to load a few up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Got to shoot it today. Didn't go past 50 yards but got a good grouping. I wasn't steady enough without the stock to hope for anything good past 50. Shooting the Remington 120 grain umc. I'll be sighting it in with 125 grain noslers as well so I didn't see any point in fine tuning it with this ammo. I think I did anyway though. Seems that the radical firearms uppers and barrels are good to go. The bolt and charging handle were stiff as all get out though. Have to do some breaking I'm on them. My other standard bolt wasn't like that. Maybe it's the melonite finish. Disregard the small holes around it. That's stray .223. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. News is reporting that the guns were legally purchased/owned.
  13. Oh I will. I'm excited as a kid on Christmas morning.
  14. I stand corrected. I had it in my head that it was a federal building and all that jazz. Now that you say that I remember reading it before. I guess that's just my natural skepticism of politicians showing itself and typing before I think haha.    In that case I'm glad to hear it and hope they actually do something with this.
  15. I'm glad the discussion was started but as I read it they aren't planning to do anything that will allow folks to carry in the building. They just want to change the sign to say "no illegal weapons" which does nothing really. It's still illegal to carry a gun in there. If Grubb said she wants carry in the building to not be illegal she's going to have to do more than change the wording of the sign.   Edit: as stated below I was wrong.  :pleased:
  16. Surprisingly I can still get good eye relief using the tube. I am very impressed with the clarity and eye relief of this scope so far. It's consistent all the way through the magnification as well. None of that "halo" effect as you zoom in.
  17. Will do. I've read good stuff about them. The fit and finish on the hand guard is nothing to write home about but it's not bad by any means. Everything else on it seems just fine.
  18. haha. You already built it or doing it now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. FINALLY got this one done. PSA Lower Radical Firearms complete 10.5" upper 1-8 twist melonited barrell. Magpul K2 Grip Nikon P-300 BLK 2-7 scope on M-223 mount. BCM Mod 3 charging handle Magpul ACS-L Stock Magpul ASAP plate Condor Cobra single point sling I will eventually add an adjustable gas block but I want to see how it performs with the standard block first. Now I just have to figure out how to reload for it haha. Apparently Lee dies aren't the greatest for re-sizing cut brass.
  20. These ISIS cowards never seem to stick around to finish the fight. "See wonders"? Give me a break.
  21. Well that makes sense haha. When you said that they locked the glass doors my brain said "that'll help".
  22. Cool thanks. I am using this one.   http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fastest-300-Blackout-Case-Cutting-Cut-Off-and-Trimmer-Jig-with-New-Leveler-/131118141716?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e87401114   I believe I have it set up to cut rather uniformly. My only concern is how uniform the cut has to be to bypass the trimming step. With the small variations I'm getting in the lengths I am hoping to just set it as low as I can go and not worry about it.
  23. True. But I would guess the intent of the sign is to prevent anyone from getting shot. Just further proof of how ridiculous the sign is.
