  1.
  2. Now that may not be how it works. Just guessing though.
  3. Maybe an avereage? When I look at another members profile I can choose 1-5 stars. Looks like someone doesn't like you very much.  :pleased:  I guess one start is better than none though!
  4. Does Protech does the scrimshaw work themselves? I know they had to send these off to be anodized but if he is making a "prototype" Godfather to show first I assume they can do it all in house.
  5. Nah mine will mostly be used to make noise. Open...close...open...close.
  6. I plan on getting either the 5 or 6 in October when I make a trip to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I just can't decide. What made you choose the 5 over the 6?
  7. Before long it will be: Rockeye in front right pocket. Godfather in front left. ?? in rear pocket, etc.  :usa:
  8.   With a gun, holster, extra mag, flashlight, wallet, keys, and a phone what an extra couple of ounces?    My wife laughs every day when I "unload".
  9. That's pretty cool then!
  10. Is that the original blade shape on the top one or is it broken?
  11.   WOW those are expensive! Pretty cool though.
  12. I got it off! Just had to center the sight in the vice and give it a GOOD smack. Broke a piece off of the nylon punch but it came off. Got all the internals sanded and polished and the trigger is a lot smoother. It amazing how rough the striker block chamber was in this one. It grinded all the way up. The apex is a great kit but in this one the polish is good enough for me. It should smooth out more with wear. Thanks for all the offers.
  13. So will brass really not scar it up? I know the tape is to help prevent that but is it really that much softer? My nylon punch normally does the job.
  14. Thanks for the offer Wilee. I just read that some of them actually have loctite under the slide as well. I'm gonna give it one more go tonight with heat to the sight and the nylon punch and see what happens. I'm just scared to use any type of metal punch on them for fear of scarring it.    If I can't get it I may take a ride out there and meet you. I'll let you know either way. If I were putting new sights on this wouldn't be an issue. I just can't justify them on this gun.
  15. I am wanting to remove my rear sight so I can remove the burrs from the striker block channel. I have no interest in putting on night sights so I want to preserve the rear sight.   I have got the set screw out by heating it with a soldering iron but the sight itself won't budge. I am comfortable using a nylon punch on it but don't own brass punches and honestly don't want to mar the finish with a mistake.   If you have one I would be glad to come to you and buy you a beer or your drink of choice to use it. Just PM me.
  16. Sweet. I've shot it before but was loaded to the 10 round limit and remember only shooting a few out of the second mag. I know it's not a gaming gun but I'd rather just shoot what I carry.
  17. Ordered another mag for the shield today and should have my holster back in a day or two. Hopefully I can come shoot next go round. How many shots are normally fired per stage? I'll have 22 rounds on me with the shield and three mags. I might need a third spare.
  18. I'll be coming as soon as I can get my gear in. Not tonight though.
  19. They actually have it on their site with a commercial and all. Not sure on the date but I would imagine now.
  20. I was just messing with you.
  21. I agree. It's really only half a safety to me though. I can barely engage it anyways with a firing grip. My guess is that they hoped it would appeal more to the pocket carry audience even though it's a tad big for that.
  22. That brings up a good point. From what I've read anodizing is a treatment to the metal but will these graphics be permanent or can they be worn off? Not that I'd want to. Just wondering.
  23. I could make some kind of weapon out of it.
