  1. Still loving my M&P9C. Now if only I had the nerve to go shoot it.....
  2. We have Dachshunds that are probably the most docile, friendly dogs ever but they have been known to fight over who gets the doggy pillow haha. Fenced in back yard---check. Gun safe--- on the list. Did you guys pick who would do your "home study" or did you let the state appoint someone?
  3. Thanks Hersh. I will definately check those out tonight.
  4. Thanks I might take you up on that once we get our feet a little more wet.
  5. I haven't even contacted anyone about it yet other than looking around online so I am not sure. We are still praying about it and soul searching about it.
  6. Thanks for the compliment man. The wife and I have been trying to have one for almost two years now with no luck. The doc said we could have one for sure if we had to go en-vitro (sp?) While I would like to have a child of our own blood as well I can't shake the feeling that we need to look into this. It broke my heart to wade through the TN list of children up for adoption. Anywhere from 7 up to 17 and all of them have probably been in the system for quite some time.
  7. Either way this looks like it would be a viable excuse to buy a nice safe to replace my cheap gun cabinet.
  8.   Haha that's the biggest thing. Not really for pride but just for the fact that I don't want to "lie" on an application or interview like that. I think I'd be more comfortable being 100% honest about everything.
  9. The wife and I have been looking into adopting a child for a little while now and I am trying to get some first hand experience with someone who has done this in TN. Any and all stories, experiences, advice, etc. will be appreciated. One of my biggest concerns is with guns being in the house and on my side most of the time. If I am correct then the state will send someone out to do a study on us and see if we are capable in the state's eyes of raising a child. Obviously I will have all of my guns locked up when/if we do this but am still wondering if it will negatively affect our chances just by having guns in the house.
  10. I'm sure they will get the job done. I carried them when I had a .40.
  11. Can't get the link to work but if these are the ones I'm thinking of. I saw them pretty cheap and in stock a few months ago at bass pro. Not sure if they were for 25 or 50 though. I believe these were the low-recoil hydrashoks. Maybe folks don't like them or something.
  12. I voted no for personal preference but I don't see any reason to be scared of doing so if you are sure of your loading abilities.
  13. Just planted our garden box yesterday. Tomoatoes, bannana peppers, squash, eggplant, bell peppers and cucumbers. I too had to utilize the chicken wire but not because of pests. My dogs think it is their sand box haha.
  14. My theory behind them is that they aren't meant to provide holster protection but rather keep the gun oriented up and down in the back pocket and not print. Trying to reinvent the wheel IMO.
  15. I have never heard of them being illegal but we have had one or two discussions on here about them. Most on here were against using them including me.
  16. Glad you got some! My dad knows a guy that works at the Winchester plant and was able to finaly get me 1000 rounds of 9mm. Also got my couisin some .40 and .45. I'm honestly too scared to shoot it now though. I have got back into my guitar playing to pass the crazy times.
  17. I guess I would say my advice would be to not do this if you want your gun to look good. I personally like the way this one looks and feels now but I hated it on the PF9 I did. Not only the feel but the look as well. If you want function then this is for you but don't go in expecting it to look good. It might but if not it is an expensive mistake,
  18. I use a 30W iron with a semi-fine tip. Just a radioshack special. When you look at the above pics you can see that I left alot of small spaces unstippled. I didn't notice this until the pictures really pointed it out. I have since went back and filled it all in. The trick is to not push the iron into the frame. Just let the weight of the iron and the heat melt it. Maybe half a second on each touch. I'll see if I can get some more pics uploaded real quick.
  19.   I hate to make a blanket statement because as with any hobbyist there are good folks but I have never encountered a cyclist that didn't rub me the wrong way. And I am usually not guilty of road rage.   Saw a guy just yesterday pull his bike right out in front of a car going at least 35-40 mph and expected him to stop on a dime at the crossing. When he almost got ran over he flipped out and started waving his finger (you know which one) and shaking his head. I was watching the whole thing and he pulled out in front of the guy just to test him. :surrender:
  20. Thanks man! I have since went back and "filled in" some spots where I didn't completely stipple every square inch. It looks a lot more finished than what it does in the pics. Everyone that has gripped it say's "Man that's nice."
  21. I believe it does on an actual computer but not on the ipad or iPhone.
  22. Yeah I have the home sharing setup but it only accesses my iTunes purchases. If I had match then it would be ideal but I probably won't buy it.
  23. Yeah I just figured out how to actually mirror last night. I am referring the accessing my iTunes library from the apple TV. I don't have iTunes match but I am thinking if I did I would be able to access all of the music on my iPhone. I know with a Mac/PC though I can stream straight from the Mac/PC.
