I tend to agree with Garufa. A police officers unit dog is treated the same as a human officer. With that in mind shouldn't any dog be treated with the same mentality as you would a human. If an angry 200lb man starts wailing on a cop they don't automatically shoot the guy. You have pepper-spray, tasers, etc. Again I wasn't there so I don't know how I would have reacted but I just have to think this dog didn't have to be shot.

Just to be clear I was being serious when I said I liked the table haha. I guess everyone has opinions but I like it!

I'd have to know more about why he was cuffed in the first place to form an opinion but at face value I don't think the dog had to be shot. Based on the fact that the guy was already cuffed I don't think he was going anywhere. They could have backed off a bit and told him to call the dog off. That's just from my armchair perspective though. I may or may not have done things differently. Either way I hate that an innocent animal was killed trying to protect his owner.

I don't think that is him is it? Neither of them look like the guy in his avatar.... Either way as links said good concept and I love the table.

Yep what he said. Based on what I read on the law, in AL "no gun" signs do not carry the force of law. Take that for what you will as the owners intentions are pretty clear if they post. With that said I didn't see any postings anywhere I went. Just conceal and you have nothing to worry about. Have fun!

I just wonder if it has the 3.5lb connector on top of the trigger guard mod.....

So do these chickens ever leave that pen area? Can't tell if there is a way out for them. The reason I ask is I have always been interested in getting some but don't know much about them other than they make tasty eggs. Do they only need a small space to "roam" or what? I live in the city limits (still a rural town with no HOA or anything; cow pasture behind my back yard) and have a dog in the back yard so I doubt they would stick around too long with her chasing them. If this is all the space they need though I may get some!

That poor gun.

I am speaking more towards these radicals that want the church to change their beliefs and except that lifestyle. As far as rights and laws go I can agree to all of that with clear conscience. I don't want to start another holy war in a gay thread but my view of homesexuality is that it's a sin just like any other. I don't have less rights because of any of my sins so they shouldn't either. I just don't want them to expect me to conform to their beliefs anymore than I expect them to conform to mine. Doesn't mean I can't try and doesn't mean they can't try. The word marriage has a particular meaning that does not jive with gay marriage per my beliefs (and the beliefs this country was founded on).

Sweet! I love those older body style dodges.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Want a civil union? Go right ahead. I still don't agree with it but I think that's fair. Just don't come to my southern baptist church and expect to get married.

That looks like one of those Gen 2.5's or whatever they call them. No finger grooves (unless I just can't see them ) but has the rail. Awesome! I also doubt any agency used the 10 rounders. He probably just kept the 15's.

Might be some kind of subliminal messaging. :tinfoil:

Doesn't happen to be on Verizon network does it???.....

I think a lot of times the seller figures in the extras at what they paid for them. Night sights ($100), extra mags, etc. Not totally unreasonable if you plan to get those items anyways but no one shoul expect full retail for used parts even if they are like new.

That's about the luck I have had with keltec pistols. Some good some bad. Guess that can be said with any manufacturer but keltec seems to have a higher margin for error.

They aren't that bad haha. A buddy and me had a headshot competition at 25 yards with them. I was actually surprised at the accuracy.

Constitutional carry in Mississippi
maroonandwhite replied to jhnpeterman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think you may have that backwards. The definition of concealed has been clarified in the statute now. If the gun is visible to plain sight it counts as open carry and no permit is needed. If it cant be seen in plain sight then it would be considered concealed. The way the statute used to read didn't clarify concealed and some crazy attorney general opinion / case law suggested that even a holster counted as concealed even though you could plainly see it. -
My spider sense is going nuts on that one. That's "Craigslist Scam" talk if I ever heard it. They used to use broken english but they are getting wiser and using good english now. To my knowledge once a money order is cashed it can't really be traced and the gov. isn't going to refund you just because you got ripped off. He may be legit but unless you could meet FTF or get him to take it to a local gun shop and deal with them I wouldn't touch it.

Anyone else ever botched a sight install?

Any idea where to pick up brass punches? I looked at Lowe's and HD a when I ordered these but couldn't find them. I would settle for Nylon too if I knew where to get them. -

Thanks for the offer scout but I'm sure I'll have one soon. Going on vacation saturday so I'll probably pick one up as vacation spending. The wife can't fight it that way haha. -

Yeah I have one of the cheap walmart dremels (on purpose actually) just for the fact that they don't spin as fast as the better ones. On the low setting it barely even spins fast enough to throw sparks. I didn't damage the vials at all just some idiot marks on the sights. Hopefully in a few days the sting won't be so bad and I will stop contemplating ordering a new rear sight haha. Edit: Also I remember when we swapped sights on that glock 19 and 27. That was the first time I had seen one of those tools and thought it was awesome. MAN are they proud of them though. Now that I am pretty set on owning mostly Glocks I may invest in one. -
 I received my new set of Ameriglo pro I-dot's yesterday and went to put them on. When I changed them out on my M&P I have always just used a steel punch with a towel on the end of it layered about four times. These were going on my Glock 23. After putting on the front sight and drifting out the old rear sight I went at it. I knocked the sight in as far as it would go with a mallet and started using the punch. MAN was it tight. I had to really hit it hard a couple of times and when I pulled the punch/towel back to my horror the punch had cut through the towel and marred the side of the sights up. I have never had a Glock that sights were this hard to get it. I ended up drifting it back out and grinding on it very lightly with a dremel. Still a tight fit but they finally went on. I got in a hurry doing it and now I am paying for it. On the up side this isn't an expensive 1911 and is my carry gun so I am not too upset....but it does suck. Anyone else ever done this? (Make me feel better haha).

I like em in a skillet myself. Black on both sides with some toasted bread and mustard. MMMMMMM
