I'm not sure 50 BMG API has a "hollow nose cavity". I suppose it depends on what they mean by that. Other ammo sites will ship API ammo to TN, but it's not the factory new stuff SG is selling...

I was thinking about picking up some 50 BMG API rounds from SG, but quickly noticed they won't ship them to TN. Does anyone have any knowledge as to why? I did some searching, but wasn't able to find anything definitive.

So I was watching a video from one of the guntubers, and they had somehow procured a M67 frag grenade. Even with an SOT, dealer in destructive devices, or whatever, I didn't think such a thing was... a thing. Am I wrong? Well, I'm obviously wrong if the video is any indication, but does anyone know more about the subject? Please enlighten me.

Contrary to what was stated previously, 5.45x39 is almost always cheaper than 7.62x39 on account of it's lesser popularity. My personal opinion is that it is a superior round to 5.56, in that it has a lighter recoil impulse and therefore better facilitates follow up shots, isn't as gassy, and is therefore more suppressor friendly, and isn't as dependent on velocity for it's terminal effect. The russians designed it with a hollow air cavity in the nose of the projectile, so not only does it aid in deformation upon impact, but also creates a displaced center of gravity that guarantees tumbling upon impact. Russian surplus ammo (7N6) also has a fast powder burn than 5.56, so it attains greater velocities out of shorter barrels.

Can an SBR be transferred on a 4473, without a form 4, if it's barrel has been pinned and welded to above 16"?

No, I only have pmags. But the last round hold open failing did start me thinking that perhaps the mag doesn't sit high enough. Thus causing the rounds to get stripped out of the mag willy nilly, as well as the follower not being high enough to engage the hold open mechanism. In addition, sometimes it will fail to strip a round from mag entirely, and I'll be met with a click, and have to cycle the action. I was under the impression Pmags were quality AR-10 magazines. Any recommendations?

I lubed it pretty aggressively, and the issue nearly went away. I had one FTF, but the rest of the mag was sent just fine. Last round hold open also failed. But that's progress from not feeding at all. I'll clean it thoroughly and lube it up some more, and see if the issue goes away entirely.

So I tried running some Wolf steel case through the M&P 10 I got the other day, and it won't eat it. My research had indicated it wouldn't be a problem, but here I am. Does everyone here run brass? Or am I going to be compelled to try five different steel loads to see if it likes any of them?

Keep in mind that AR500 is shot head-on in testing, and very rarely are you ever going to be squared off to the shooter. So the bullet and/or its fragments are going to glance off the plate. I was looking at some ballistic tables for 7.62x39 and RBCD's round its substantially hotter than any other manufacturer. It sits at 2390 Ft-lb at the muzzle, traveling at 3100 ft/sec. My question is whether a round like that will negatively impact the firearm? It would obviously be operating at substantially higher pressure... The 11/29 is frequently reduced to 1 day. Or that is what the judge told me when we toured the courthouse during recess. Which I then saw him do several times while in the courtroom. Just an FYI
