  1. The Green River Gun Club in Bowling Green KY will be having an IDPA match this Saturday May 24. Match starts at 9am with setup at 8am. This month will be the 90 round IDPA Classifier. There will not be a rifle side match this month. Cost is $15. Directions to the range are posted on the website. If you need a map go to Mapquest and type in 1280 Prices Chapel Rd. http://www.bggrgc.com Let me know if you have any questions.
  2. Transitions are fun. But keep in mind the wide variation of shooter skill levels that will be attending this match. I know that YOU are perfectly safe doing transitions but do you think everyone else would be? ETA: I'm assuming here you are talking about alternating between two loaded guns, hot reholstering etc. If that is not the case ignore what I posted.
  3. According to this post the answer would be yes: http://www.gallatingun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=154&sid=d166b187cc4685ed0284c9db2ea697c5
  4. Robert told me today that you can use hi-caps in ESP class. Since the XD is ESP anyway yes you can use them.
  5. It's more spread out now. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
  6. This is one of the reasons I hate going into the city. I had a guy last year throw his drink cup at me on West End Avenue because I wouldn't give him money. The other reason is the cost of parking.
  7. I don't think 20ga is much of a handicap in skeet. The big boys shoot 20ga in 12ga class anyway. On the other hand I've only shot 100 straight with a 12ga, but I'm no pro.
  8. My current carry gun is a M&P-357.
  9. I'm gonna miss all the stories he used to tell.
  10. 2008 dates will be: March 22 April 26 May 24 June 28 September 27 October 25 Check the website in March for final details: http://www.bggrgc.com/
  11. I have been asked by the Green River Gun Club in Bowling Green KY to put on an IDPA program for 2008. The Green River range is pretty decent as is and they are planning on building five new pistol bays sometime in 2008. I think initially we could do at least four stages per match in the present configuration and do six after the range improvements. I am thinking the fourth Saturday of the month would be good since Music City Tactical Shooters shoots on the first and third Saturdays, and Gallatin shoots on the second Saturday. The plan is to put on six to eight matches in 2008 and then expand to twelve in 2009. I would also like to do a tactical rifle side match each month. Comments? Questions? Suggestions?
  12. This is one of those things you really should have figured out before you ordered the safe. Safes are very difficult to move. I've moved five and never want to do it again. The last time I rented a U-Haul truck with a ramp and a refrigerator cart. It still wasn't easy.
  13. The fastest way to get better is to shoot competitively.
  14. So does Wideners http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=7169 Yes it is good stuff

    Noveske

Are there any dealers in the Nashville area that have Noveske rifles in stock?
  16. Don't know for sure. They have found out that attendance drops way down on shotgun nights. And it doesn't help the air quality in there either.
  17. At this point in time they are not shooting shotgun on Monday nights at Second Amendment in Springfield.
  18. You are close to Henry County Gun Club. You need to check out the IDPA matches down there. http://www.hcgc.net/
  19. I was planning on going but the heat wave may keep me away.
  20. The new Magpul PMAGs will be out in a couple of weeks. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=124&t=309747
  21. Typical USPSA "gamer" gear. Not legal for IDPA.
  22. I have a Bulgarian Mak for my back up gun.
  23. As you can tell by my username I like the XD's. I have owned seven. I currently own two XD-9 Service models and one XD-45 Service. One of the 9's has Heinie straight eight night sights and the other has the flat dark earth frame. I just had TFO's installed on it.
