Wanting to get back into competitive shooting
GaryXD replied to a topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
As far as rifle is concerned it is a 3 hour drive to Birmingham but well worth it. Next match is the 29th. http://www.scssa.org/toppage2.htm -
I bought six boxes of 45 yesterday at that price.

A Tennessee FFL can only transfer the gun directly to him from the FFL's licensed premises or a TN gun show.

I have an XD-9 Service with Tru-Glo TFO sights and an XD-45 Service. I use Federal American Eagle and Blazer Brass ammo.

I took a handgun into Canada in 1992 when I shot the IPSC North American Championship at Toronto. The match officials sent me a form to fill out from the province of Ontario. Then I had to go to the local sheriff and have him do a background check on me and write up the results in a letter I submitted with the application. But that was 1992. It's probably harder now. Also I don't think you can have magazines that hold more than ten rounds in Canada now either.

The amazing thing is that not long ago he was a noobie when I first met him shooting at the dump at Joelton. I believe it was 2006.

Does anybody in the Nashville area stock Sabre Defence uppers?

I bought a SA M-7 milled gun about five years ago and it is very nice. However I keep hearing bad reports about the 107's they are currently releasing. A lot of people are having to send them back for various issues.

Greg, Thanks for shooting with us. I got a lot of comments about stage three. As soon as Randy gets the scores to me I'll email them out to everyone. Gary -

Ky laws are better than TN. You can actually carry a gun in a restaurant that serves alcohol. You can carry in a state park (not federal). You can carry a loaded long gun in your car.
-
And don't forget Bowling Green just north of the border on fourth Saturdays. http://www.bggrgc.com/

I built one in my backyard. I had to hire a bulldozer to clear the land. Then I had to buy several truck loads of dirt. Then I had to hire a backhoe and front end loader to build the berm. Plan on spending at least a grand. Also carefully figure up how much dirt you will need then DOUBLE it.

I got an AR lower receiver there today.
