Wasn't paying attention and had a close call this afternoon.

We came from Texas where fire ants get all over you like Santa Ana's army. I thought they wouldn't venture this far north, but when I saw my first mound I knew it was gonna be more of the same. Ortho's Orthene killer works best. -
Ham and cheese between two slices of multi-grain thin bread.....too lazy to fry eggs this morning.

U.S. security agencies are clamoring for more information about terrorist plans to launch eminent, significant attacks on embassies and other foreign targets. I wouldn't be so worried if Obama had not again "directed his National Security Team to take all appropriate steps to protect the American people and will continue to be updated on a regular basis.†http://thehill.com/blogs/global-affairs/middle-east-north-africa/315393-white-house-officials-terror-threat-emanating-from-arabian-peninsula

I'll believe we will have a 2016 election when I see it.

Taxpayers To Help Pay Congressional Obamacare Tab
gun sane replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Sen. Chuck Grassley wrote an amendment specifically including Congress and its aides to be subject to the same conditions as everyone else. Obama worked around Congress to alter the law. This is not the usual exemption that has been approved in the past. This is a special interest, elitist Washington D.C. perk, given to those that consider themselves the best and the brightest in the country. The aides make on an average $75,000/yr but it would be an extreme hardship for them to pay the same proportionate rate for Obamacare that the schlubs outside the D.C. beltway have to pony up. Do you suppose Dear Leader is throwing in the class warfare towel and letting the rich and powerful win? :surrender: -
It was a mighty close call. Lawmakers and their aides were on the hook for entering the Obamacare health exchanges and seeing their premiums soar several thousand dollars like the rest of us peons. But now the deal is made to let us pay a huge chunk of their tab as well. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/08/capitol-hill-obamacare-crisis-solved-95100.html?hp=t1

PFC Bradley Manning was let off the big hook, but he's facing a long stretch of hard labor for charges he's admitted to. http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/30/justice/manning-court-martial/index.html

Anyone who thinks Neil Armstrong planted the American flag on Mars is quite capable of running DHS. http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=981 -
Maryville's Mayor is anti-2nd Amendment
gun sane replied to TNinfidel's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I just got off the phone with Bob Norris, city editor of the Maryville Daily Times. I told him that a lot of the mayors were bailing out of Bloomberg's MAIG. He asked me to cite a news source about the exodus and I pointed him to FoxNews, which currently has the story in the No. 1 position of their website. I asked if Mayor Taylor is thinking about changing his position. "That is a good question," Norris told me. "Thanks for calling it in." Perhaps we'll see some ink on it in a day or two. -
Jacketed Vs Lead In Marlin 1894 Microgroove
gun sane replied to quedz's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Lead bullets should be oversized by about .001 to .002 to prevent the hot gas from cutting along the rifling channel and leaving melted lead in it's wake. -
Tensions are high in both North and South Korea as to what may happen today, marking 60 years since the armistice was signed to suspend hostilities between the two. But most American vets who fought in this little remembered conflict are proud of what they--and their fallen buddies--did to hold communism in check so long ago. http://www.lohud.com/article/20130726/NEWS02/307260125/-Forgotten-war-Veterans-mark-60th-anniversary-Korean-armistice-video-?nclick_check=1 Here's a local story of some P.O.W.s who finally made it home. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/jul/27/korean-armistice-ended-fighting-for-many-pows-in/

Maryville's Mayor is anti-2nd Amendment
gun sane replied to TNinfidel's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not a word. I was going to pay a visit to the paper next week. I used to work at the Houston Chronicle about 40 years ago, when journalism was more of an honorable profession. Journalists today rely on press releases and dog and pony shows. -
True, the Battlemug is only a patented design. Dress a public domain mug up in an AK-47 outfit and maybe they'll sell like crazy. Unless someone beat you to it.

Autsch! Sie haben Recht. Ich würde Merkel über Obama jeden möglichen Tag dauern.

You're just jealous because we won. :taunt:

It's also very logical. The German word for "hydrogen" is Wasserstoff---material or "stuff" that makes water.

The conspiracy may be widening. I called the managing editor of the Maryville Daily Times but got voice mail. It's been three hours and no return call. :hiding: -
