  1. Thanks she gets it from her momma. We both had an awesome time.
  2. Just got back from the NWTF convention at Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center. Me and my daughter had a blast. They had a lot of stuff for the kids both young and old. Anyone else go? Today was the last day. Here are some pics from today. My daughter is already wanting to go back next year. They had everything you could think of turkey hunting wise. My daughter and I got to play with some pretty cool gear. We stayed close to 6 hours. We also did a few things in the hotel such as ride the Delta River Boat. My daughter completing the kids booths. ( they called it the roost) She got a patch for it. A pic of the Bass Pro biggest bucks tour bus. My daughter shooting a bow and arrow. (This was her favorite thing and she was actually good at it) We had to go back like 8 times ha ha. Me and Michael Waddell My daughter and Michael Waddell
  3. Them sure are some nice deer!
  4. I've been predator hunting for years. I'm very passionate about the sport. Nothing like calling in a predator to within yards of you. I use both handcalls and e-callers. Me and my dad have a trip to Blue Mound Kansas this fall to shoot some video. Should be exciting.
  5. Sent my requests for night hunting predators.
  6. Theres a guy back home that sells individual shells so you can find out what shot patterns the best.
  7. I agree they dont feel good sometimes. I plan on shooting some 3 1/2.
  8. I had an 835 years ago and I had a kicks choke in it. I think the choke was. 670. I remember great patterns out to 50 yards. I hope this one patterns just as good.
  9. Well it's used but new to me. It looks brand new anyway. It's a Mossberg 835. All I need is a choke.
  10. Got me a new shotgun. I've already been scouting. Been seeing some decent to a few really good birds.
  11. Yep it happens sometimes. I bet the meat was tender.
  12. You are correct. A lot of people forget the beauty God created for us. It's nice to harvest an animal but there is so much more to gain. Just getting out in the woods trying makes you a better hunter.
  13. That looks yummy!
  14. O.k I am re-opening this thread on the request of another member. I guess just because the OP hasn't showed back up doesn't mean someone else couldn't learn a thing or 2 that's in the same boat. Who knows the OP could be having computer problems or something. So lets keep this thread on topic. That is all carry on..
  15. Welcome to TGO and thats some really nice bucks.
  16. Make sure you read the hunting regulations and know when the seasons open and close. Also it tells you the weapons and ammo you can use and other do's and dont's.
  17. You can but I concentrate more on the higher pitch sounds at lower volumes.
  18. Gonna be some good eating.
  19. Ive done a little small mouth fishing on the Buffalo River. Didnt catch anything. The water was still to muddy.
  20. Dont use the bobcat in heat. Use high pitch sounds like bird distress or high pitch rabbit. I usually play it none stop at lower volumes. Concentrate on really thick stuff antd near water. I usually stay on stand for 30 to 40 minutes. Dont worry about the wind but keep the sun to your back. Bobcats will most likely sneek in so be camo'ed up good. Keep movement to a minimum. If you have a bobcat come in and hang up out of range I then use vole squeaks. Main thing is call to really thick brush and look for them hard but keep movement down. Bobcats hunt by sight and sound more than with their nose.
  21. I called one in this evening. Never could get a good shot. It dissapeared in a briar thicket.
  22. There is no mag restriction for big game. Upland and migratory bird have a restriction. Deer, turkey, bear you are good to go.
  23. Yeah thats a pretty coyote.
