Thanks Dave I am going to look on shotgunworld.com That should be a great source. I saw the negative stuff too, more than once. Then on one web spot, the guy who wants every model 40 he can get his hands on says the flaw was that owners would tear the gun down and not put it back together correctly. That guy said it takes 3 people to hold the bolt together to put it back together correctly.

I just got a Winchester mod 40. I'm having trouble finding much info about the gun except, "It sucks, it's the worst gun ever!" and the other answer "I own 10 of these and will buy all of them I come across because these are great guns!" I think this one might be a skeet grade gun, but I'm not sure. It is in good condition in working order, although I have not fired it. It cycles just fine and is very clean. I got it from a friend that used to live in Chicago. The trigger guard has Bill Goodman on it. Could it be the White Sox Billy Goodman? Hmmm...... With all that being said, where can I find any information on this gun? I'd like to do a complete tear down for cleaning but not having information readily available, I'm too chicken. Thanks

So so sorry to hear this. I cry just thinking about the day I will lose mine... “If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.” ― Will Rogers “Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.” ― Milan Kundera

Awesome!! Thank you!! -
My brother has a handful of these he picked up at an old yard where he was doing some work. Can you tell me what they are used for? We are planning on using them for barn door handles both on the barn and in the house. 3559

Love podcasts!

No wad. That's not possible. It's not possible for me to care less with ZERO commiseration, ZERO. Its just an interesting study on internet behavior. (or lack of)

It's an observation on my part. I worry more about the stray dog I saw crossing the road yesterday than the posts or comments on the internet. You can follow my post history and you find ZERO attacking anyone else or placing my 2 cents in.

No thanks Dr Phill. I'd say I appreciate the offer but I dont. You do help make my point. You have turned this into my fault....Hmmmmmmm.......

True. Or attacking someone for mentioning the 500 pound gorilla in the room makes people feel better.

You had me at burger.

I think being a victim has now become a profession.

I do and the older I get the more I can appreciate that kind of movement!

res308, I could not have said it better! I could not have said it better. I was outside washing our trucks, in the rain, the rain is the best "spot free rinse" it's from the heavens, and I thought the same thing but you are saying it more eloquent. Even a small "drive-by" joke about something, not someone, hurts people. I enjoy levity, any kind! As long as it not directed to hurt a person. My last name brought on a lot of jokes when I was a kid and my Mom told me "the kids making fun of our last name don't make you made, you choose to be mad". Kevin Carmichel was relentless. Kevin if you are out there, I'm still mad! lol

I'm getting old and it's getting harder to understand little johnny and little jane all grown up now. They have spent their entire youth with mommy and daddy telling them their opinion matters. lol

I mean maybe it's my laziness but it has to be easier to just keep on moving than get involved? Some people feel it's their civic duty to be pissed for or make a comment for someone else.

Is it just me or is everyone a little sensitive lately? I understand we ALL have things going on in our life that puts undue pressure on all of us, but really? It's your choice how to react to that pressure. It seemed when my wife was going thru cancer treatment our best medicine was a laugh and a smile. People today get so involved in everybody else's business and getting pissed off for them. Is our society needing more fiber or a colon flush?

I bought my 2011 Raptor at Beaman Ford in Dickson. My salesman was Ken Godwin. I built the truck online took my cost verses dealer cost in and made a deal with Ken. I felt like I paid as little as I could for a truck that was/is in demand. Ken has always been there when I had a question about anything. MY brother-in-law has been in car business for almost 30 years in AZ and he said "keep Ken". My 2 cents.
