Hi everybody,

I stumbled upon this site a week ago and it seems like a great place.

I've enjoyed the threads I have read, you all seem like a great bunch of people!

I have been interested in firearms for a lot of years, and have gotten back into it for sport, stress relief and plain old fun here in the last few months.

The gun collection has grown a little and my pockets grow emptier from hoarding ammo :)

My shooting interests are mainly with pistols and milsurps, but if it goes bang I like it. The wife does not mind I shoot and what-not but she has no real interest in it for herself. Wish I could change that some. You guys with a wife or girlfriend who like to shoot are lucky.

I am also a big fan of the Bill of Rights.

Looking forward to my stay here :D,

Mike

Wow, never thought someone would respond to fast.

I like shooting handguns a lot, easier to do here at home anyway. I have a S&W 9mm, Ruger SAS 22LR/WMR, and a Hi-Point .40S&W. Hold the rips on the H-P please, lol. With some luck I will have a Ruger .357 snubby this week. I am hoping it is still where I saw it last week. Should have bought it then, I know.

Rifles I have a Yugo SKS and a Mosin M-44 (1948). Not to toot my own horn but far and away it is the best looking M-44 I have ever seen. Matching numbers all around and I do not think it had ever been shot. I also have the requisite Model 60 and a lefty bolt action Savage .22LR. Got a 12 ga. pump too, but I hate to shoot it so it is a safe queen.

Oh and forgot about the 1851 Navy in .44, but it is on the disabled list in need of an action transplant. It was my favorite gun to shoot, I have had it over twenty years. One guy at a gun shop told me it might be time for it just to look nice (instead of shoot nice.) But I am not ready to give up on it yet.

I saw the thread about an E.TN shoot. I hope you all invite me for one in July, already commited for next weekend.

Well some of us don't have the pleasure of shooting at home, so we bug some nearby neighbors. Right Jason:D. Nice collection BTW!!

As for the invite, just stay tuned for next months thread. If your a TGO member, your already invited.

Welcome to the site from Church hill Tn!

hey Joe, what can you do on a .308 cal AR, out the door? Nothing fancy, I can tune it myself..

:D

Btw, Mike, there are several of us that have milsurp rifles...and love to shoot them. Alot of these guys are fans of the warsaw pact trash...but some of us like quality over quantity.

I will be bringing out an m1a2 (yah thats the range 'ho because everyone enjoys shooting it) and more than likely I'll bring out an L1a2 (FN FAL) and then theres' the old Yugo 8mm service rifle.

after that its all pistols I'm afraid. I wouldn't have room for the rest of them...and if I did have room, I'm willing to bet That Shannon would be putting me in braces if I brought all of them out....then again, If I were in better shape and smarter, I'd hope he'd offer me a part time job....hahahahaha! Ya, right... if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his tail when he hopped.

Greetings Mike. Welcome to the circus. Sorry you can't make the shoot on 16 June. You'll have to wait and meet face to face with the members of the Eastern band of this TGO tribe in July.

Hello Mike, hope you enjoy the site! I don't post much at all but I love to read these guys comment. This seems to be a great bunch of guys that is open to any question you may ask. They helped me decide which gun to buy back a few months ago and I am more than happy with it.

by the way, Im from knoxville, right over taz pike on the halls side of emory....my wife and I go to corryton church...she's like yours, don't care much for shootin but I'll eventually get her to fire off a few rounds sooner or later...anyways, enjoy the site!!!
