I've been wanting a revolver engraved for sometime and the only one I've heard of is in Mt. Eagle. He doesn't have a website. I just found his name and address in a random search a few years ago. I could drive the distance (I'm in Nashville area), but if I get there and the guy engraves like a retarded 3rd grader, then what do I do?....know whut I mean....

I got this from a random search:

Engraving You Can Do Workshops, Scott Pilkington

Monteagle, TN

(931) 924-3400

email:

Scott Pilkington offers one on one tutoring at his shop in the Cumberland Mountains. He has taught everything from hour long seminars at knife shows, to weekend classes to complete 5 day workshops. For 14 years Mr. Pilkington was the senior instructor for the GRS corporation in Emporia, Kansas. His knowledge as anengraving instructor is first class. Scott will do tutoring at your location depending on scheduling times. Scott began his career with hammer and chisel and push tools, and his familiar with all major engraving systems. He has in his shop all systems so you can personally try all methods and tools to evaluate for your application. A fully equipped, beautiful cabin in the nearby woods is available to stay in, or major hotel chains are available 3 miles away at Interstate 24.

There are some forums out there that recommend him.

They say that although he teaches, he still has a shop and does good work.

Nothing on pricing.

Good Luck with it....and if you find someone in middle Tennessee, let me know.

I had my last engraving done at "Things Remembered" in the mall. I don't think the kid knew it was an AR Lower he was engraving with the "Infidel" logo. Sent it to my brother for Christmas. Charge was $35.00
