a big +1 to Dillon Precision!

Recommended Posts

A friend recently notified me that I could have his deceased father's Dillon RL 550, but that it may not be worth the trouble (it was in bad shape). Knowing Dillon's reputation for quality and "no BS" warranty, I decided it would be worth getting. I wasn't disappointed. I contacted Dillon, told them the story, and was told to send it to them. For the cost of shipping, Dillon refurbished the 550 and upgraded it to a 550B. They replaced almost $200 in parts. Here's what they started with:

Here's the 550 now (with a couple extra accessories):

Needless to say, Dillon is top-notch. For $18, I got back an almost new 550, and I wasn't even the original owner. When Dillon says lifetime, no BS warranty, they mean it!

BTW, I plan to compensate my friend for hooking me up.

While I'm not a reloader (yet - I'm just starting to read some recommended books on it), when I buy my equipment, it will be Dillon, based on experiences like this alone. Companies like this deserve our support!

Dillon has always done this, best warranty in the reloader business. When I suggest people buy one and they bitch about the price and buy a Lee instead they get what they pay for.

Oh yeah.. The firearms industry just like the music instrument industry, are pretty much the same when it comes to quality, you get what you pay for. But the biggest factor in all industries is how a company supports their customers!

Good deal man, hope that you get many years of use from it, I myself have been thinking about getting a 550B to use.

It's testimonies like this and a couple of others that made my mind up for me. I have decided that my single tage is too slow for bulk reloading, so my best friend and I are going in on a Dillon 650. They may cost a little more than some of the other progressives out there, but they are worth every penny, especially with customer servic like this.

I own a Dillon SDB and I love their service. I got my SDB used, for $100.00, found out it had a couple of broken parts, called Dillon and told them I needed to order parts. They asked a couple of questions and said the parts are in the mail, no payment needed.

Yeah, when I upgrade it will be to a 650. I don't mind paying a little more up front for some excellent service later down the road, if needed.
