El cheapo lasersight review

I was browsing around Bass Pro Shops in Sevierville today, and I happened to notice a laser sight. I had been toying with the idea of getting one for my ar and I couldn't pass it up for the price.

It came with 2 mounting rings and a remote pressure switch, all for $30. The laser has 2 set screws for zeroing which worked quite well. One of the mounting rings was for a weaver rail, and one was a double ring for mounting the laser to a 1" scope. I was able to mount the double ring directly to my Hbar barrel and then attach the second directly to the first ring's rail. I intend to purchase a decent weapon light to go in the empty ring soon.

I'll post a follow up when I get it to the range and see how well it holds up. I'm not expecting much for the price, but honestly the mounts were worth the price of admission to me.

Yeah I can rotate the mount around the barrel, but that would put the light ring on the left side. The rings are different sizes, so I'll have to play around with it once I get a light. Hmm, I could also reverse the whole mount to get the laser under the barrel and then the light would be on the right side. I see me playing with this configuration quite a bit in the future.
