So you want to start carrying 10mm?

It may be that 10mm is making more sense for carry.

My beloved 38 +p six shot and somewhat beloved Ruger LCP might not have enough penetration.  Looks like perps are getting wise and wearing thicker protective clothing, if not out right Kevlar vests.

The nine is probably the minimum I would want to bet my life on these days.

Great post! I have been seriously thinking of getting a 10mm pistol. I have shoot some at the range and thought they were very manageable.  The picture below was from Sunday before last but that's not the 10mm I want.

The firestar plus with impossible to find mags is alloy frame and was only mfgd in 9mm.

I recently sold a Starvel PD and 3 factory Starvel mags. I tamed the recoil with a 20lb recoil spring. It was a 1990, last year, production where they eliminated that goofy overcomplicated rear sight and just used a Star 30M one. A very good move.

I have no idea if even the heaviest 180gr .40 would cycle the massive slide of the Megastar.

I see the plus occasionally on GB. I had forgotten they were alloy framed. But as you said, 9mm only. I do love my M45, second one I've had as I sold the first one to pay my divorce lawyer. They aren't perfect but it fits me quite well.

Megastar wouldn't be my choice for 40 shooting 40. Little bit of overkill there LOL.

Check you owners manual for the proper procedure to tighten lug nuts.

If we have COTD, someone tell me how to post this one.
