Picked up a Marlin Zane Grey 30-30

I was looking for a good brush gun and this one might look to good to take out in the field.

Reminds me of the 1st 30-30 lever action I ever owned, I was an idiot for disposing of it back in the 70's. That's a nice looking gun. Looks like a little blemish on the bottom of the stock.

Could be, I was thinking it might have been, but I didn't noticed one up towards the front, although we couldn't see the whole rifle.

12. What is the small round black and white dot on the bottom of my Marlin stock?

  • This is the Marlin "Bullseye". This trademark has been used since 1922 on all Marlin walnut buttstocks. Please note that this is not a suitable place to install a swivel for you firearm. Swivels should be mounted approximately 2 inches from the toe of the butt.
