I've got one of the biggies, which is tooooo big for much practical use for me. But I did see a smaller version at Bass Pro the other day the clerk said it was a pilots model. I want it for my regular deer knife. It's on my short list for new toys.

I read something a while back how the name Ka-Bar came to be used. It said an Alaskan trapper had used his knife to kill a bear. The man was illiterate and the only letters able to be read were the K in killed, the A, and the BAR he misspelled bear with. The knives might be good, but that story is bad-ass! lol

Unfortunately I don't own one yet. I have an Ontario SP? that I've had for about 14 years....

Also Smoky Mountain Knife Works carries just about every brand you can imagine.... It's really worth checking out....

Another vote for the Kabar Becker line of knives. I daily carry my Becker Necker horizontally just to the left of my belt buckle.

The Campanion (BK2) is a heavy duty knife as are all the Becker knives. Customer service is excellent also, they essentially have a lifetime warranty. Ethan Becker and a Kabar engineer regularly post over on the Becker forum portion of Bladeforums.com.

The only knives better than a Becker are the ESEE line of knives.

Good luck.
