Back in the day my big red butt, find me a ship swabbie and watch a fat man swing from the yardarm ( OK maybe tumble from the yardarm, but I'd give it a helluva try )

I watched as a Coast Guard helicopter picked a friend off the deck of our ship during a snow storm. Had the helicopter gone down the crew would have been dead in a very short time in the water, even with survival suits. I have a lot of respect for the aircrews that our willing to come get us no matter what the weather is doing.
