News Headlines - Calif. man shoots his way out of sinking SUV : Townhall.com

A driver whose SUV plunged into a Northern California creek after he was startled by his hands-free cell phone device escaped the sinking vehicle by blasting out the window with a handgun. The 28-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately available, is an armed security guard at Thunder Valley Casino, north of Sacramento. He sustained minor injuries in Sunday's accident.

A spokesman for the Roseville Fire Department said the man was traveling northbound on Industrial Avenue in Roseville when the cell phone device activated. The driver was startled and veered off the road through the guardrail. The SUV landed in Pleasant Grove Creek.

He used his gun to shoot himself out, then flagged down a passerby.

The only time mine scares me (tongue in cheek) is when the wife calls. A siren goes off and it screams "It's the wife, It's the wife." Have gotten many a chuckle from people over it.

I bet it was a high speed chase involving Riggs,Murtaugh, and McClane and this scrappy young security guard got caught in the mix. After exchanging heavy fire with terrorists, pirates, and ninjas he cut a 180 degree turn in the middle of the interstate while driving in reverse (as he was taught by Randall "Memphis" Raines) and firing at the bad guys. Suddenly a dog ran into the road and he was forced to dodge it and crashed into the waterway. After several moments of intense theme music and unusually clear water filling up the vehicle he shot out the window to escape.

When the normal police showed up he had to come up with a cover story so the others could continue on with their case unhindered by their overbearing, yet lovable, Captain.

That's what probably happened anyway.

That's what happened! It's right here in this book 80's action cliches and catch phrases, but Volzfan if you call now we'll toss in a free bonus gift! Bkelm18 sings Dean Martin's greatest hits while in the shower drunk off cheap wine! All for 19.95!
