I use Eezox, and like it. It is billed as a cleaner-preservative, but I do a standard clean and then wipe down with Eezox. My results (subjective - your mileage may vary) are that cleanup is easier because there is less fouling, and it does very well as a barrier to rust.

Unfortunately, I don't have a local source. Whenever I leave a ship in Norfolk and head home, I stop by a friends' shop there and stock up.

It looks like according to the dealers there are only three in Tennessee. Cookeville being the closest. My aunt lives in Sparta. I may go over there to algood and pick up some eezox and then swing by and see my aunt. I have used rem oil in the past when that was all I could get. It has done fairly good thus far. I can normally just wipe the fouling off the front of the gun after shooting. I still clean it fully though. I noticed break free makes wipes. That would be easier I think but heck.

I want to shoot today and would pickup break free if I drove to coal creek. However, I hear tell that cookeville has a new indoor range over there at outdoor junction. So if it is open I may go to algood get the eezox, swing over to outdoor junction cap off 250 rounds, and then head over to see my aunt in sparta and then from there home to clean my gun.

Hey Mark, I believe that the Gun Rack on John B. Dennis just past North High School in Kingsport carries Eezox. I think I saw some the last time I was in there. I used to use Eezox all the time when L&L was still in business years ago. It's good stuff. Edited by USMCJG
Dangit. Just saw where titan already mentioned that Gun Rack has it.
