Thanks for posting this. Interesting read. Happened in exactly the place that one would expect it to happen. A big city. Looks to me like more folks need to arm themselves. I wonder if the New Orleans municipal area is a "gun free" area like Beale Street in Memphis!?

Food for thought.

American Thinker: Republican Officials Attacked and Injured in New Orleans

This happened last week. Did you hear about it on the news? Compare it to the Tea Party 'violence'.

Looks like New Orleans style violence to me. There are plenty of idiots to go around. I agree that the Tea Party bunch has probably been a victim of some media bias. That may wind up helping them.

I've carried every time I've ever been there. Seems like to unarm you'd be the only one without a gun. I don't drink, so no problems carrying in a place that serves. I heard the police were giving people who carried a pretty hard time in the Quarter a few years back - even demanding to see bills of sale. I've never had an issue.

Me and a buddy have gotten jumped by a group of people in the quarter, nothing political, just a barfight really. Later he and a different friend were robbed at gunpoint not far from the quarter. He doesn't own any guns and doesn't have any interest to as far as I know, but he did his part and ID'ed the crook assisting in a successful arrest not long after.

These were members of the Republican Party at a fundraiser, not Tea Partiers. I posted it to show the difference in the left and their hatred(evil), and the right. I've never heard of this happening by a Republican or redneck Tea Bagger(sarcasm) as Janene Garofolo proclaims us.
