Prentice Cooper closed dates

I have updated the Prentice Cooper rifle range info:

There are closed dates in April of 2008.

I didn't know matches were held at Prentice Cooper.

But they have "managed hunts"

SHOOTING RANGE

The shooting range is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday from sunrise to sunset, and Sundays from 1:00 pm ET until sunset. It is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, and during managed hunts.

PRENTICE COOPER HUNT DATES - SPRING 2008

Prentice Cooper State Forest and Wildlife Management Area will be holding managed turkey hunts on the dates listed below. The area west of Highway 27 (Suck Creek Road) will be closed to visitors except hunters on these dates. The area east of Highway 27 including Edwards Point will remain open to the public on these dates.

April 1-6

April 8-10

April 17-19

April 22-27

do the road closures effect the range?not familiar with whats what there

Winter Closures: During the time period from December 20 until March 15, the following road closures will be in effect to prevent damage. These road closures may be put into effect at other times if weather and/or road conditions warrant:

• All of the side roads will be closed to motorized vehicles.
  
• Tower Drive will remain open to Davis Pond and Davis Pond Road will remain open to the Davis Pond Campsite.
  
• Tower Drive will be closed to motorized vehicles at the gate just past Pot Point Road.
  
• Haley Road will remain open.
  
• Inman, Elder and Long Point Roads will be closed to motorized vehicles during this time period.
  
• All road closures apply to motorized vehicles only. Horseback riding, bicycles and foot travel are permitted.

No, the road to the range will not be affected, unless the weather is abnormally bad. You never know. I have never had a problem, but there's always a chance you will get there in sort of bad weather to find the road closed.
