That will NEVER happen. Years ago an officer from a neighboring agency shot himself in the ass with a 1911. Our Command Staff has been anti-1911 ever since.

This sight picture mimics my AK sight pictures...Big Dot front, standard rear "U-ed" with a 5/32" circular file.

Because I like my AK sight pictures so much, I'm also fooling around with my AR.

I took the optic off, added a Big Dot front sight, Daniel Defense 1.5 rear sight...

I took the same circular file, "U-ed" out the notch, and mounted the rear sight all the way forward on the receiver.
