I resisted entering back into the 1911 world, but couldn't pass this one up.

Still taking the G19 to a fight, though.

As much as I like my 1911s, you're rarely ever going to find me carrying one anymore. The G19 rides along way more often than not.

Oh man! That is slick! I have the same firearm, albeit had Jeff @ Hero Gear work it for me... That is such a nice gun that you've got there, from the front strap to the bob... I love it.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

For shear accuracy, this thing shoots itself. The only thing that would make it better is if it was a Commander length gun (I've always preferred the 4.25" 1911s).

Also, eventually I'll change the sights. I like Heinie sights, but I don't find the front sight as fast as I'd like. I'm thinking an XS Sight front sight / 10-8 rear sight combo.

Vero1, don't know. Bought it from the guy who had it done. He said that after he got it back from Harrison he really didn't get a chance to shoot it. Based on its condition, I believe him.

Not to often do you hear anyone who'd take a G19 to a fight OVER a 1911.....

of course you can't go to wrong with a G26 as a summer piece either......

That's because the guys who say otherwise usually have unhealthy infatuations with bore size. If I had my choice of what I was taking to a gun fight, it wouldn't be a handgun in the first place. Unfortunately our government frowns on the idea of us carrying carbines everywhere we go.

David,

If you ever decide that you no longer need your Bobtailed Wilson Professional, let me know I would not mind putting it in my carry rotation :P

Ah. My wife wouldn't let that happen, and the Wilson is one of my favorite non-carry pieces. If the .gov starts letting me carry my SBR everywhere, we might talk again. :)

Sly Dog...didn't know you had one of those. I would have mooched some range time with it...hint, hint.

Sight-wise, I'm think I'm going with a XS Big Dot tritium front

and Novak Half-Ghost tritium rear.

Also, I've been using these mags for the first time and have been very pleased so for.
