I've got two, both are on their MRP upper receiver. My 16" gun is currently my home defense rifle. My 10" upper is staying at KC's house since she doesn't have an AR, until my other lower gets back from HeroGear. The biggest benefit I can see for the MRP system besides the obvious one of being able to quicky and easily swap lengths and calibers is the ease of cleaning the chamber once you remove the barrel.

I fully plan on a couple more LMT's in the future, as I'm sure KimberChick is getting to the point she wants one of her own.

Minor details on the LMT rifles . . . their non-adjustable 2-stage trigger is a great design, I have one in my 16" gun. Eventually I'll throw one in my next build-- 18" DMR (on my existing MRP upper). Their charging handle has a slightly extended latch, not as big as the PRI or other aftermarket latches, and it's just the right size that it doesn't snag on your gear, but is easy enough to manipulate. I don't care for the SOPMOD stock, it's a nice and well-thought-out design but it doesn't work with my shooting style. Magpul CTR or MOE all the way, personally. KC loves the Ergo grip they come with, but I went with MIAD's on both of mine.

If given the choice and I have that little bit of extra cash, I'll go with an LMT rifle every time.

Thanks for all the input fellas.

Now, let me know how well I did on my purchase yesterday, here goes.

LMT Defender 2000, NIB, with 5 new P-Mags , one factory 30 rounder, and 100 rounds of ammo.

OTD was $1185. Good, bad, about right?

Thanks guys. I had not formed an opinion on the P-Mags till today. NICE MAGS. Im getting more. Shot the rifle today...so far so good. No problems of any kind, seems like its gonna be more than accurate enough. I shot some 40 gr. reloads a friend had into a fingernal size group at 50 yrds. Cant wait till I get some 62 and 69,75 grainers through it.

Thanks for all the comments and reply's.

From a gun shop employee, you got a pretty good deal. :( Glad you like your rifle. My 16" gun likes the 69 grain stuff the best for distance work, but pretty much anything will go into a 2-3" circle at 100, from 55 to 77 grain.
