Im trying to ship a pistol outside the state. Ive read what USPS, UPS, and FEDEX says about their requirements. Is there a method for shipping the gun disassembled in two seperate packages. The average cost if $60; how does gunbroker ship for $25. Let me know your recomendations. Thanks

The receiver with main serial number IS the gun.

That part is same as shipping whole gun.

Any other part can be shipped any ole way you want, even including USPS as I understand it.

Large shippers generally have discount rates with UPS and FedEx. The two shippers court large accounts and will bid against each other for a contract.

Also, FFL's can ship to each other with USPS, unlike you and me. That's generally cheaper period.

Actually, anyone with an account gets a little better rate than walking into the counter and paying. For example, I have UPS account through eBay and it's about 20% cheaper than the published rate if you check it on website. If used through eBay for an eBay transaction, it's even cheaper.

You can actually save about 5% on most shipping even with USPS if you use Click n' Ship online instead of paying at the PO. That, or get free tracking, which amounts to about the same savings.
