I picked up a new handgun today. It matches my wife's new wedding ring set perfectly! I got me a Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum. I've wanted one for a few years and decided to go on and make a move on one. It worked out good since my wife wanted a new wedding ring set! Good trade if you ask me! So I will have it at the range with me Sunday.

Went great! Got to meet GunTroll and RobertNashville and see my buddies WD-40 and K-Bug. The range was crowded so we didn't get to spend a lot of time conversing, but hopefully this was just the first meeting. There should be a lot less folks at the range once deer gun season opens.

It was nice meeting the folks I haven't met before, and Whiskey's company is always enjoyed. Good to see Alana again too. Next time I'll bring more Wild Boar snack sticks, and hopefully it won't be so dry and windy, and ya'll can shoot the flintlocks. Had a great time....can't wait until next time. I'll get a couple of pictures posted in the morning! Robertnashville and Gun Troll....nice meeting you guys!

I'm glad the gathering went so well. I will try to get there next time. Tomorrow I do some practice shooting with my wife with our 'official' instructors. With a little luck, and after the attendance at the classes, we may qualify on Saturday, Oct 30. I hope to be able to send in the paperwork for CCL as soon as possible after that.

It was unfortunate that my family gathering (that I was told about just a few days before the MCSC event) had to take priority.
